Clarke's POV
2 Hours Later...
We walked home in comfortable silence for the rest of the way to my house. Once we got there, I dragged Bellamy to the couch, threw him on it, and forced him to tell me what the hell he did.
An hour after we got home, Bellamy was halfway through the story of his childhood. How his mom was a drug addict, how he and Octavia are technically half-siblings due to them having different fathers, and how he started doing all of these illegal activities to give Octavia a decent chance at a normal life.
It was truly admirable, what Bellamy did for his sister. I had never seen a sibling bond as strong as theirs. They would do anything for each other and honestly, it makes me a little jealous.
I was born an only child. My dad had always wanted more kids but after me, my parents both got so busy that by the time they even had time to think about having another kid, I was already 14 and the age difference would've been too big.
Soon Bell got into all of the bad stuff he started doing. Hanging out with the wrong people at school, skipping school, and doing the dirty work for a local gang.
It was honestly a lot to take in but I won't ever think of him differently. It was his giant heart. He would do absolutely anything for the people he loves and I'm pretty sure that if it came down to it, he would sacrifice himself a million times before anyone even touched his little sister.
After he finished his story, he looked up at me. He had tears in his eyes as he was clearly emotional for sharing such personal information. He was waiting for my response and I could tell that the more I waited, the more anxious he became.
Bellamy's POV
After I finished talking I could feel the tears prickling in my eyes and I refused to let them fall.
Clarke sat there was a blank expression on her face as I let all the information sink in. The longer Clarke was taking to respond, the more nervous I got.
What does she think of me? Will she not want to be my friend anymore?! She must hate me...I'd hate me if I was her. All of the awful things I've done...I mean who wouldn't hate me?
I was about to get up and leave when she suddenly burst up and wrapped her arms around my neck. It took me a minute, but I slowly returned her embrace.
Her face was buried in my shoulder and her arms were around my neck with a strength I didn't expect her to have. My hands were in her hair and I clung to her just as tight as her.
Just being in her warm embrace caused my rock-solid walls I had put up to come crashing down. My resolve broke and soon there were tears coming down my face and then sobs racked my body.
Although, no matter how much I cried and trembled, her tight hug around me never faltered. She held on just as tight at the end as she did in the beginning.
I don't know what it is about her, but Clarke Griffin was the only person who I could tell anything to, no matter how dark, and she would still comfort me. She would make everything ok, and for now, everything was. Sitting in each other's arms on her couch crying together was the safest I've felt in a very long time. So we just sat there and held onto each other, with neither of us wanting to let go.
Clarke's POV
After some time, I slowly untangle myself from Bellamy's arms. I'm not sure what it is but something about him always makes me feel safe and just being in his arms was arguably the safest I've ever felt.
We both let go and I look at him. "What was that for?" he asks softly.
"You looked like you could use a hug," I say back.
He chuckles softly, "Thanks, Princess."
"No seriously Bell, what you did...for your sister. It's absolutely amazing. If you were thinking that I would judge you for that, you're totally wrong. Bellamy, what you did was so admirable. You always did what you had to do to protect your sister, that's who you are. Nothing you do or say is going to change that."
"Clarke-," he started to say when his phone cut him off.
"Ugh shoot, gimme a sec." He picked up his ringing phone and answered it.
I always found it hard to read Bellamy Blake, but when he first answered the call, his face was hard and serious but something shifted, and his face went from cold, to hopeful and then ecstatic.
He hung up the phone and turned to me.
"Clarke...it's Octavia.
She's awake."
Author's Note: Hey guys!! I have risen from the dead! I hope you enjoy this chapter and how their relationship is developing. And we ended on a cliffhanger!! Octavia is awake! What's gonna happen now? Is Octavia gonna fully recover or will there be complications? What will happen to Bellamy and Clarke's friendship? Lol sorry I'm putting all these questions but sadly its what a cliffhanger is. I hope you check back in and continue reading this story. I have no idea when I'm posting next. I seriously need to get into a writing schedule. Anyway, sorry again and I hope you have a great day/night<3
