And that became our normal routine. Everyday Bellamy would drive Octavia and me to and from school. Although he never said anything much. He just kept to himself and we didn't mind.
Three Months Later...
Octavia and I are best friends. We hang out with the same group and everything at school is great. I am taking art classes and I found I have a passion for drawing and painting. Bellamy still drives us to school but O's getting her license soon so he won't have to anymore.
I don't know why Bellamy is so anti-social. I mean, he is O's brother and he sees our friends all the time, yet he doesn't say anything to us. Are we that embarrassing? I don't think we are, but I haven't seen our group from an outside perspective so I wouldn't know.
I am currently in my kitchen working on a new painting. Normally my mom would tell me I couldn't but since she wasn't here, I could do whatever I wanted. My mom, Abby Griffin was a highly respected surgeon and she was always traveling everywhere for her job. She's only been home 6 times out of the three months we've lived here in Arkadia. She would only stay for about a week at a time and then she would leave again. I remember when I was younger, and I had a happy, full, family. Ever since my dad Jake Griffin died from a car crash when I was a sophomore last year, my mom started working more, therefore leaving me in the dust. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom, but ever since the accident, we have become distant. But I do however have to thank her because if it wasn't for her and her job, we wouldn't be living in this beautiful house.
I get snapped out of my thoughts when I hear my phone buzz. I quickly wipe a tear off my face I hadn't even noticed I shed. I am still not over the tragedy that happened with my dad, I guess. I put my brush down and walk over to my phone I set on my counter. It was a text from O.
It said, Hey Clarkie! Remember when I told you I left some of my things over your house? Well, Bellamy is on his way right now to grab them. I am studying for my driver's test right now. I hope it's ok. Ttyl girl!
Don't worry about it! I am just at home painting. You left so much stuff here I have it all collected in a bag, so don't worry about it lol. Good luck with studying! I text back.
I put my phone down and walk back over to my easel. I pick up my paintbrush and just as I am about to start painting again, I hear the doorbell ring. That must be Bellamy, I think to myself.
I walk over to the door and open it to reveal Bellamy standing there. "Hello there Princess," I roll my eyes at the nickname. Why does he have to call me that? "I'm here for O's stuff," he finishes. "I know. She texted me. You can come on in. I have to go upstairs and grab the bag." He nods and I open the door wider gesturing he can come in. After he does, I close the door and head upstairs to get O's bag.
Bellamy's POV
Clarke invited me inside while she gets O's bag. She heads upstairs and I look around her house. It really was nice. I look over at the kitchen and I see an easel with a painting on it. I walk over to it and I see the painting up close. It was incredible. Who knew Clarke was so talented? It was a beautiful field with flowers and a hill in the middle. There was an amazing pinkish sunset in the background and there were two people with their backs facing me sitting on top of the hill. One was a blonde haired girl, and the other was a brown-haired man. Was this one of Clarke's boyfriends? Wait, why do I care? No, I don't. I quickly brush away my previous thought just as quickly as it appeared.
I was so in awe with Clarke's painting I didn't hear her come down the stairs. I am pulled back to reality when I hear Clarke say, "Bellamy? Hello?" "Huh? Yeah?" I say back. "Here's O's bag," she says as she holds out the bag of O's things. "Thanks," I say. I look back at Clarke's painting and I absentmindedly say, "This painting is incredible Clarke. You have such pure talent." She looks taken back by my sudden appreciation. "Uh, thanks Bellamy," she says.
"So who is the other person on the hill? The blonde one is obviously you," I say. "Oh, well that's actually my dad. He always took me to that hill when I was younger. It was our spot. We would go there and look at the stars. He would teach me about the constellations and the planets. It was my favorite place before he-" She stops talking and I walk over and wipe away the tears she hadn't noticed had fallen. I felt bad for her, this place obviously meant everything to her and she had an emotional connection with it.
The next thing I know, I feel her arms wrap around me. Without thinking, I hug her back and she silently cries in my arms. We stay there for a bit and when I feel her breathing finally even out, I whisper, "Do you wanna talk about it?" "No, I'll only cry more. But thank you." She pulls out of the embrace and I give a sympathetic look to her. She smiles slightly and I say, "Well Clarke, you should never stop painting. You are amazing at it. Thanks for O's stuff. I'll see you tomorrow morning for school okay?" She smiles and nods. I walk out the door and get in my car. What the heck just happened?
Clarke's POV
What the heck just happened? Bellamy was nice to me? He complimented my art, called me by my name, and he even comforted me when I was crying about my dad. Maybe the infamous Bellamy Blake was a decent person after all.
Hello, lovelies! Hope you enjoyed. Heres a little Bellarke fluff in this chapter. But remember, they become friends first. Anyway, I LOVE writing this story and I will update all the time. I'll try to update Foster Brother too but I am honestly enjoying writing this one more. But don't worry I am not giving up on it. As always, have a great day/night lovelies<3
