Clarke's POV

As soon as Bellamy said the word, we were out of the house. We frantically rushed outside only to remember that we had no car. I called an Uber and it showed up less than 2 minutes later.

Bellamy hadn't said a word since he got the call. I don't blame him. I mean, after so much time without his sister, she was finally awake. I had no clue what was running through his head right now, and I decided it wasn't the best time to ask.

Once we got to the hospital we both came to know so well, Bellamy practically jumped out of the car before it stopped. He was already at the door by the time I thanked the driver and got out.

Following Bellamy, I ran to the door only to see Bellamy at the front desk, and he didn't look happy.

Then again, when was he ever.

As I got closer, I could start to make out their conversation, if that's what you want to call it.

"What do you mean I can't go in!" Bellamy all but shouted. I walked up to them and stood next to him. Finally close enough to tell, I could actually see how anxious he was. He was breathing heavily, and I could see him trembling a little. However, any other person would not be able to see these small details because the angry flare in his eyes and strong, commanding voice was too dominant. God forbid, anything came in between Bellamy Blake and his little sister. "That's my sister in there. I don't care what rules there are, I'm going to see my sister and that's that."

The receptionist looked surprisingly unfazed. My guess is that this is not the first time an angry family member screamed in her face.

"Sir, as I've already said, the doctor is in there right now running some final tests. I am sorry, but you will have to wait until he comes out here to see her," she finished.

Bellamy didn't say anything in response to that. However, I quickly realized that there might be something I could do.

I put my hand on Bellamy's arm for comfort when I finally spoke up.

"Excuse me, but who is the doctor currently seeing Octavia?"

After putting it down, Bellamy lifts his head up to look at me and then the receptionist who begins to type on her computer.

"Um, that would be Dr. Eric Jackson."

I smile in response. "If possible, could you let him know that Dr. Abby Griffin's daughter knows the patient?"

Her eyes widen at that and she nods her head and doesn't say another word as she walks off to go tell Jackson. In my peripheral vision, I can see Bellamy looking at me and I can feel his gaze. I turn to look at him and what I see is him giving me a look I have never really seen from him before.

His eyes still show the worry and anxiousness that was there before, but now, his eyes and expression are filled with what I can only call gratitude.

He finally snaps out of his gaze and clears his throat. "Clarke, I don't know what to say."

I look at him and smile. "Of course Bell. It's no problem."

He gently grabs my wrist and makes me face him fully. "No Clarke, seriously. Thank you."

I've known Bellamy Blake for quite some time now and I don't think I've ever heard words come out of his mouth that sounded as sincere as those ones.

"You're welcome Bellamy," I say warmly in return.

He smiles back at me and for a moment I see his eyes relax. The anxiousness is gone and all that's left is the warm brown that his eyes are. He looked younger and less tired.
