Naki X Reader [Smile]

Chapter 7

-Time Skip (2 hours later)-

The group of friends was now sat at the kitchen island sipping some iced coffee which helped their sore throats.

"Wow this was so much fun!" (Y/N) practically shouted as she threw her hands in the air, almost hitting Hoguro in the process.

"Sheesh calm down would you or else I'll cut that limb of yours off!" The blonde teased. (Y/N) just pouted, crossing her arms across her chest.

"You're no fun scarf-kun~" This time it was her turn to tease. Hoguro glared at the human. "And mark my words you all are never ever going to pick which song I sing!"

"Oh come on Barbie~ you enjoyed it!" The female burst out laughing causing Hoguro's glare to grow more intense.

Naki watched their exchange silently, he was jealous. This fact didn't come unnoticed to Shousei. "You and (Y/N) totally nailed that one song Naki!" The scarred blonde stated, putting his arm around Naki's shoulders.

This immediately gained the attention of the (H/C) haired female. "Of course we did! We make a great team!" The girl beamed as she smiled brightly, causing Naki to blush.

Shousei decided it was the best moment to leave the love birds alone. He nudged Hoguro's side and signaled towards the door with his head. Hoguro nodded knowingly. In reality Hoguro enjoyed (Y/N's) company and wanted to stay but he knew she was important to Naki.

"Oh my, Hoguro and I need to run an errand! We better get going or else we'll be screwed, you guys have fun!" Shousei exclaimed, a bit too over dramatically then intended, grabbing his coat from the rack.

"Oh, ok, it was nice meeting you Shousei and I really had a blast today! You guys should visit more often!" (Y/N) called out as she hopped off her seat and pulled the two blondes into a quick hug.

The ghouls exited the house and (Y/N) waved them goodbye before closing the door. She returned to Naki. The man was slightly confused as he didn't remember his friends having to run an errand. Nonetheless he was happy to finally be alone with (Y/N).

The (E/C) student sat down beside Naki with a smile. "Sooo what do ya wanna do?" She asked looking into Naki's red irises. 

'Kiss you...'

That's what he thought seeing her precious smile inches away from his face. But instead he just blushed and said "Could you maybe teach me some writing..?"

(Y/N's) smile grew bigger as a small blush crept up onto her face. "With pleasure." She said...

-Time Skip-

"Well done Naki! You have successfully rewritten this whole sentence!" (Y/N) exclaimed cheerfully. Naki was so happy and proud that he gave the student a side hug due to the fact she was sitting beside him.

"Thank you so much!" Naki cried out and then pulled away. Suddenly he got pulled into a proper hug.

"I'm the one who should thank you...for being there for me...the other day when I had a nightmare...thank you..." (Y/N) muttered barely above a whisper as she hid her face in the crook if Naki's neck.

The blonde ghoul was shocked but returned the embrace, gently rubbing (Y/N's) back with one hand and holding the back of her head with the other. 

Soon after muffled sobs could be heard. The optimistic and energetic girl was softly crying into a ghoul's shoulder. It hurt Naki seeing her like this. Tears filled his vision as he just held her closer not knowing what to say.

After a while, the sobbing slowly subsided. The (E/C) eyed female pulled away slightly and turned her head to the side, resting it on the man's chest. "I know we haven't known eachother that long Naki...but I trust you and I want to share something with you..." (Y/N) spoke out quietly.

"You can tell me anything." The ghoul stated as he smiled, (Y/N) acknowledged him as someone trustworthy, this fact made him happy.

"You see...I wasn't always so upbeat and cheerful...remember when I told you my parents got eaten by ghouls when I was young? Well that's when it all began..." The girls voice was filled with sadness that broke Naki's heart.

He somehow felt a pang of guilt even though he wasn't the one responsible, he was also a ghoul who killed humans...
