"C'mon, get up."

Katherine opened her eyes, completely shocked to hear her friend, James', voice.

"What, James? I'm barely dressed, what are you talking about?" She groaned, rubbing her eyes.

"Oh, I'll let you change, get up." He repeated.

"James!" Katherine sat up, her old white crop top unravelling from it's crunched up position from when she was sleeping. "Fine, what do you want?"

James chuckled, and she saw his nose scrunch a bit, that was always cute. "Go get dressed. We're going and working out."

Katherine shook her head. "I'm not working out at...six in the morning."

"Yes, you are. You've been out and sad, and Christmas is coming up." James reminded her.

It was true, Katherine had been injured, sick, and barely dancing. She had gotten around to performing in their Nutcracker, mostly healthy, but then was run down and drained for the following week or so.

The next week was the week of Christmas.

She'd been sad since she couldn't be able to dance. But then again, she needed a break, and that was probably her body's way of telling her.

But now...now it was the eve of Christmas Eve, right? And every December 23rd, the SAB family had their Christmas dinner.

"C'mon, wake up." James shook her shoulder again. "I'll even pick out an outfit for you."

Katherine laughed. "No, you're not picking out my clothes. Just listen...leave this room, give me five minutes."

"Babe, you're really making me work for that Christmas dinner, huh?" Katherine joked, sitting up in a more comfortable position than the one she had been laying in to do an insane amount of situps.

"Yes, I am." James chuckled. "We need to get you happier. We could be 'reh-ing' Copellia corps right now, or you could do ten more situps, and we can get some ice cream."

"Sounds good." Katherine smiled gently, laying back down. "Count, please?"

James nodded, a small smile breaking onto his lips.

Later at dinner, James' gaze followed Katherine as she stood up from the table and went to go get another plate of all of the beautiful dishes everyone had brought.

James smiled to himself. It'd been a while since he'd seen Kath eat a full holiday meal, let alone go back up for another few sides.

She was better. He knew he just had to get her back into a routine. He knew he just had to get her to get moving again.

James stood up from the table and walked over to Kath. He slid his arm around her waist and kissed the side of her head. "Merry Christmas, Love."

Katherine smiled a real, true, beautiful smile. "Merry Christmas."
