"Irene, what exactly is your problem? You don't wash your hair, you're late to every appointment and you dont even have a responsible job! Sending you to study was a total waste. Look at your twin brother, he makes us so proud. But you, you've sworn to be useless!"
"Oh please mom, quit comparing me to him. I am useful, in my own way"
"Of course you are. My cell phone rings over 4 times everyday from strange callers with each having something ill to report about you. You're either with the police or at a hospital, thats how useful you are!"
"Cut the drama already, all I did was get drunk in public"
"No ordinary public" her dad yelled,
"It was a funeral. You are 21 for Christ's sake"
"Dad, mom, please. It won't happen again" pleaded Ivan.
"We'll make sure it doesn't. Irene, your mom and I have decided, we're sending you to reform school"
"You've gotta be kidding me"
"Well he's not, you leave tomorrow morning" her mom added
"What is wrong with you people? If I do 30 things in a day, you condemn 28 and yet you dont commend the other 2. For you guys, its always Ivan. Ivan this, Ivan that. I'm human you know, I feel. Each time you ask me to do stuff, to change, have you ever asked what I really want?"
"Our decision is final, you're leaving tomorrow. I'm sure this school will get you back to normal"
"I am normal mom! And I'm sick and tired of trying to show people that. You think I'm crazy? I'll definitely show you loco"
She snatched her car keys from her dad.
"Irene, don't do anything stupid" screamed Ivan
"Over my dead, sexy, beautiful body will I go to reform school"
She shot out the door and Ivan raced after her.
"Irene wait" he yelled as she got in her car
"Leave me alone Ivan" she yelled back and drove off. Ivan got in his car and went after her.
At little rock city airport, she stopped and went in.
"Get me my fathers jet" she yelled and since the entire staff knew her well as 'the Mayor's mad daughter', they hurried to get it ready.
"Irene McHardy, stop and listen to me!"
"Listen to what Ivan, more of your sermons on how terrible a being I am?"
"You know I never said about you"
"Well, I'd sure as hell preferred you did than keep shut each time mom and dad crucified me"
A hostess gave her the jet keys and she stormed off.
"Miss Irene, won't you need a guide?" She asked
"I've done this thrice, a fourth time shouldn't be a problem"
She got in the jet and Ivan followed her.
"Get out Ivan"
"I'm not leaving without you. Irene please" he yelled
She turned the keys and up they went.
"Where are we going?" He shouted,
"Anywhere but home"
