"Get dressed Irene, we're leaving for your uncle's funeral this evening"
"The funeral's tomorrow, why leave now"
"He was my brother, I have to help in the final preparations"
"Just leave without me, I'll be there tomorrow"
"We should at least be together Irene. What would you do here alone anyways?"
"But mom..."
"No buts Irene, get ready, we leave soon" she said and left.
Irene packed a few things and went downstairs. They got in their family bus and left for Oklahoma. Three hours after, they arrived and settled down in Evelyn's parents house. She soon got busy with preparations for the funeral and when everything was ready, they ate dinner and went to bed.

At the funeral
The corpse had been lain in the ground and refreshments were being served to the guests who came to sympathize with them. Evelyn was already tired so she went into the car to get some rest but soon got up when her sister yelled her name.
"What is it Martha?"
"Its your daughter, she's creating a scene outside"
"What? How?"
"She's drunk" Martha said and Evelyn hurried out. She met Irene pouring alcohol on the just covered grave.
"Irene, get away from there!" She yelled and dragged the bottle from her.
"Come on mom, he loved this drink when he was alive"
"Well now he's dead, stop it"
"Let me just pour the entire drink then I'll stop"
She laughed as she staggered towards her mom while everyone else stared in disgust.
Evelyn glared at her and fortunately, Ivan came over then.
"Irene, people are watching" he whispered in her ear. Suddenly, she started screaming and he covered her mouth with his palm. Evelyn scoffed,
"Ivan, get her out of here" she ordered. He carried her on his shoulder and got her into the car then drove home. He carried her inside, gave her a glass of water and after drinking it, she dozed off.

Irene Elizabeth McHardy was a 21years old American lady. She had reddish blonde hair, sparkly brown eyes and pale pink lips. She had a slender and tall figure with buttery skin. Irene and her twin brother, Ivan, graduated from the Tuft University three months earlier. Ivan had joined the Arsenal football club before then and was already making a name for himself. She studied Journalism but wasn't ready at all to do the job.
Both of their parents were very strict mathematics professors. They were very wealthy but never did stuff for their kids without them earning it. They believed a lot in hard work and that was why they preferred Ivan over Irene.
Irene was the type that didn't believe in hard work, she wanted everything to come to her with ease. She believed in a genuine but funny kind of reality. Her motto: life is straight, it is we who bend it, was how she lived. She'd always say, "if I don't do everything I wanna do, I'll have regrets. So, I do what I feel like doing, when I feel like doing it and if there are consequences, I'll face them head on knowing that what I did, at some point in my life, was what I really wanted to do"
Her parents were always on her neck but for Ivan, though sometimes bothered, he loved her like that.
