Chapter 1: Roses & Pirates

It was over.

It was finally all over and I couldn't be happier. My problems, the lies, the secrets, the obsession. My relationship with my boyfriend Callum Weston was finally over.

He was no good boy I knew that, well everyone knew that. He was a typical football star of our school and was loved by everyone. He got all the attention but he didn't care. He only had eyes for me. It was like a dream until, I found out his secret.

Many of my friends suspected something fishy about the guy but I didn't care. Until that day.
That day we were supposed to meet at his house but he was late. So I opened his laptop for some music as my phone had died. I obviously knew the password as it was my birthdate.

I opened the laptop and there were many folders on his desktop. I had used his laptop before but never had I seen a folder that was now sitting in the corner. It was entirely new, and it had my name on it.

I hesitated for a minute, but then clicked on it, the folder was full of our pictures and in some I was sleeping on his lap. It was so sweet. I looked at each one of them until a folder name 'screenshots' came in sight. I shouldn't be opening it, but the folder had my name on it, I should see what's inside, Right? So, I clicked on it. To say I was shocked was an understatement as I kept scrolling. There were screenshots of each and every chat of mine on facebook and my phone. They weren't even important, it had nothing just some casual chit chat. He never showed any interest in any of my accounts when I was around him. I didn't know how to react to this, so I grabbed my bag, rushed down the stairs and drove home.

It took me a while but, with the help of my friends and family who were very supportive I finally broke up with him as I later found out that he had been beating whoever talked to me or was my partner in any of my classes and has hacked all my accounts and checks them frequently to see whom I'm in touch with. He was an obsessive psychopath.

But no more of him. I had finally transferred from Maxwell High to Evermore High. My family thought it would be too much for me to still go to Maxwell where Callum goes.

The one thing I liked about Maxwell High was that it was a familiar place. Familiar faces and teachers who liked me. No one ever bothered me, everyone knew I'm Callum's girl. But from monday I'll start at my new school, my junior year would be a normal one, I kinda needed it after being school's football captain's girlfriend for two years.

I didn't know anyone at Evermore High, except a certain Naomi Rain, she dated Callum's team mate Heath for some time. But she was sweet enough to invite me at Roses & Pirates tonight to fill me up about Evermore High. Maxwell and Evermore were practically rivals, not that I care because my goal was to be invisible at my new school.

It was 6 o'clock as I stepped inside Roses & Pirates, the place was huge. It was probably the most trendy Diner in Greenville. It had too many booths and each was full, seems like each and every person in town was here. I searched for Naomi but she was not here yet. I started to walk towards the counter when suddenly I saw him, Callum.

He was sitting there with his friends in a booth and was looking here and there. His eyes were about to catch me, I had to act quick. I looked around but the place was packed. Then I saw the closest booth to my right with two guys sitting on opposite sides and without thinking I just slid in. I took deep breaths and closed my eyes to calm my nerves down. Callum couldn't have seen me, or he would be here by now. It's okay, It's okay, I told myself.

Now I had to come out of my frenzy and deal with the boys in the booth. I opened my eyes and saw the guys staring at me, probably waiting for an explanation. The two boys were very handsome. Not regular school type handsome, but ramp walking model type handsome. They both looked at me with a confused expression on their beautiful faces, that's when I decided to speak.
