"He's on the move again. It's always the same with him. He just needlessly incinerates the buildings to ash, and then leaves. There's no one in the buildings, thank goodness....but I don't understand the point. It's like he just wants to be noticed." Aizawa mumbled, continuing to research the building destruction that Dabi was causing.
I pursed my lips in thought, not quite understanding why Dabi was starting to act up recklessly again.
I hadn't seen him in six years. Our last meeting was back when Overhaul had destroyed the yakuza house, when I was still in high school.
The heroes have been trying to catch him and the other members of the league of villains for years. But, we've never been successful.
But for Dabi to be causing pointless destruction so close to where I work...maybe he wants to talk.
"I'll go look for him." I mumbled to Aizawa, giving his shoulder a small pat.
Eijirou and I were in the midst of making our own hero agency, but we still had some work to do in that department. Aizawa created his own underground type of agency awhile back, one that works in the shadows. That's the one Eijirou and I are currently working for right now.
"Want some back up?" Aizawa asked, keeping his eyes glued to the computer.
"No. It's just Dabi. I'll be fine. If I need you, I'll call." I said to him, about to walk out, before he stopped.
"Margo, don't forget...Dabi was in love with you. Your engagement to Kirishima has been playing on every news station in the country, for the past month. These building attacks didn't start, until your announcement was made. I don't think that's a coincidence. Don't underestimate him. Call me if you need me. Understand?" Aizawa stated firmly, shooting me a soft glare.
I nodded, shooting him a small grin.
"I got it, I got it." I chuckled, walking out the door.
Aizawa had really become like a father to me, these past six years. I was really grateful for that.
.......
I cautiously walked down the very familiar alleyway, where the last building attack took place...seeing the blue flames still burning slightly.
I've noticed that Dabi has been taking out abandoned buildings. Not buildings with people in them, or even buildings that were being used.
It seems like he really had no intention of harming anyone.
I cleared my throat, surveying the charred pieces of building, that were lying in a flaming heap to my right side.
It was quiet. It was dark. No one was here.
Maybe he left?
I continued standing in the abandoned alleyway...thinking about Dabi's intentions.
He wanted to be heard...he wanted to be seen.
I think he wanted to talk. Which means....
"Dabi. I know you're here." I called out blindly, really having no idea if he was actually here or not.
It was silent for a long while...making me second guess myself.
Maybe he really wasn't here.
I was about another second from walking away, when I heard shuffling behind me.
I turned around at lightning speed, seeing a figure walking towards me now.
I narrowed my eyes, watching Dabi come into the moonlight, stepping on the splintering flaming wood, from the building he destroyed.
