"Little sister." Fred said, popping up on Alexandra's left, looping an arm through her own.
"We've missed you." George continued, on her right, doing the same to her other arm. She glared and tried to take back her arms.
"Let go of me." She said, her voice dangerously low. They just smirked and held her tighter. She struggled, memories coming to the surface. "Let go!"
"We haven't seen you around much." George said. "Have we, Fred?"
"Not at all. It's almost like you're avoiding us."
"Which can only mean-"
"One thing." George smirked. "You're planning something."
"Just, let go of my arms." She said, her eyes welling up with tears. They didn't seem to notice.
"We all know the moment we do,"
"You'll run."
"Please." She begged. Fred looked at her and frowned. He let go of her and gestured for George to do the same.
"What's wrong?" George asked, softly.
"Nothing, just leave me alone." She ran away all the way out of the school. She didn't know where she was going, only that she wanted to be alone. Tears fell from her eyes as she ran, and she tried to wipe them away, but it made no difference. As soon as she did, another would take its place down her cheek. A few minutes later she looked up and noticed she was in the middle of the forbidden forest. She sighed, not really caring whether she was lost or not and continued walking in any old direction.
She came across a centaur, before immediately turning away. They were proud creatures, and she didn't want to risk accidentally insulting one. She stepped on a twig and heard it snap beneath her feet.
"Who's there?" She heard a gruff voice call out.
"Sorry, I'm a Hogwarts student. I didn't mean to interrupt you. I'll be on my way." She said, but he stopped her from going any further.
"Why are you so deep into the forest?"
"I didn't mean to be. It was an accident."
"What are you, a second year?" He asked.
"First year." She said, and turned around to face him. He raised a brow at her. "I was supposed to be a second year. It's a long story."
"You've been crying." He pointed out.
"No I haven't." She denied. "Allergies." She said nonchalant.
"What are you allergic to?" He countered and she shrugged. "I'm a centaur, a master of divination. You don't truly believe you can lie to me, do you?"
"Fine. I'm upset. And I usually insult others when I'm upset, so it's probably not smart to be near a centaur."
"You're a child, what do you know of centaurs?"
"I know you're proud creatures, who would never stand for being in service to a human, that even the mere suggestion is offensive. I know you generally hate humans, which is understandable. And I know you're a whole other species, not a human or a horse as some people might mistake you for."
"Has Hogwarts added the study of centaurs to it's curriculum?"
"No. I just like reading." She shrugged. "It's easy for me to remember things." She looked up at the centaur. "I'm Alex."
"Magorian." He replied.
"It's getting dark. I should head back to the castle before my brothers end up alerting the teachers that I went into the forest."
