Chapter 5

I was looking around for what we would need today when I saw Ruby basically bolt to me.

"Jasmine! Where were you? I was freaking out!!!" Rubys said with some panic in her voice.

"I'm sorry Ruby. I couldn't sleep so I came in to the bubble to improve my flying." I said while she handed me my pack and gave me a weird look.

"Jasmine are you ok? You can do things that no one else can. You can enter at night, you have her necklace, you can hide your wings, and your wings glowed and you immediately healed her. Jasmine no one else can do those." Ruby said with worry in her voice.

I gave Ruby a confused look. "Who's necklace? Irene? And can't everybody hide there wings? What do you mean my wings glowed? This that what happened when I blacked out?" I said with a lot of confusion while putting on my backpack.

Ruby sighed and rubbed her head like she was stressed. "Jasmine, do you know anything about the history of us angels?"

"Ruby, I have to tell you something. I know nothing about angel history. My parents hated me because I was a angel and I escaped by applying and learning to fly and other important things late in my life. It's a miracle I'm even here other wise I would be that room for the rest of my life." I said. I had to tell her the truth. No point in lying.

Ruby immediately softened her gaze at me. "That's really sad. I'm going because my parents did. And there parents did. I don't people wanted to go here. I assumed you where all forced to be here. At least most of us." Ruby said while looking down.

"It's ok. No one knows though. Please don't tell anyone. You don't know better." I said I make her feel less bad. She don't know better.

"Ok. I'm really sorry though." She said.

"It's ok. Let's go get our necklaces so that we can do magic, ok?" I said.

"Ok. Let's go." Ruby said looking less worse.

We here walking over there when Ruby told me to fold my wings out.

"Why?" I said

"Because no one else can do that. Everyone thinks your human when you have your wings like that." Ruby said

"Oh ok. Sorry it's kinda habit to hide them." I said while bringing them out. More weird stares. It's making me uncomfortable.

"Ok Ruby let's get in line." I said. It was still early, so the line was only a few people long. Me a Ruby chatted about what we thought the school would look like on the inside.

Ruby said it looked really cool from what her family told her. I had no idea but thought it would be fun. Finally it was time for Ruby to pick her necklace. We here one person away and she looked super excited.

"Hello sir. I am Ruby and I'm looking for a necklace for my first year at the magic school here." She said like she had practiced it.

"Ah yes. Ruby. I had your mother come to me when she has starting her time at magic school. Young and energetic little child she was. I think she got a square blue and gold necklace." The man said.

I was pretty surprised that he remembered that. It was probably a long time ago.

"Ok Ms.Ruby. What are looking for? A necklace, bracelet, or choker?" He man said.

Me and Ruby looked at each other in confusion. We thought that they only sold necklaces?

Ruby responded by thinking out loud. "Not a bracelet. That would get in the way of my writing. Not a choker cause that would hurt. I guess I'll do a necklace." She said.
