"That's so cool! Is familiar history a class we take? Honestly sounds really interesting." I asked her.

"Yeah I think all first years have to take the basic classes and then they get more specialized in the later years. I'm not super sure though.' Ruby said while thinking hard.

"Well, I'm done eating. What do you want to do now?" I asked.

"Well.. let me check the list." Ruby said while pulling out the list and quickly going through it.

"Oh! Well we aren't actually supposed to bring these but its not like they kick us out if they find out. Let's to the market and get some candy and other things so I can send stuff to my family.  Too bad the market is outside of the bubble I was actually enjoying having my wings out for once." Ruby said.

"That's so much walking! I mean it is candy though... Let's go!" I said standing up and getting my bags.

"Yeah... I'm sorry to ask you of this, but can you fold your wings behind the tree? The looks people give kind of makes me uneasy." Ruby said while looking at the ground. I could tell that she felt bad about saying that but I understood where she came from. She had a family expectations to live up to and didn't want to be known as the person who's the one with the "freak" friend.
"Yeah that's fine." I said while walking behind the tree. I knew she felt bad about it but I still felt I did something wrong. I stood there and made sure no one could see me and made sure that my wings went right back into place and that they could not be seen. As I was walking back where ruby was, I heard her laughing with someone.

"That was so funny Jake! Oh Jasmine your back! This is my friend Jake. He used to live right next door to me when we grew up but he moved away when I was 9. I'm so glad that you came here! I haven't seen you in ages! Me and jasmine were just going to the market, do you wanna come?" Ruby said as she put on her best smile.

Jake thought for a second and then his face lit up. "That would be fun! Can I invite my boyfriend to come with us?" I visibly saw Ruby deflate in sadness and then perk back up to try and hide how she thought she had a chance with him. I had to hide my laughter as a coughing fit to not make fun of Ruby. She's slow sometimes. I didn't hide my laughter too well because I saw Ruby shoot daggers at me. This didn't help my "coughing fit" at all.

Jake ran to another boy a few feet away while me and Ruby chatted and got our bags. We walked over to Jake and his boyfriend. They looked happy together. Everyone had all of there stuff already so we all started walking to the border of the bubble.

I walked on the side of the group, paying attention to the nice landscape while they talked and caught up about their lives. We reached the end of the bubble quickly and walked through like it was no big deal. Walking down the steep hill into the heart of the city was not fun at all. No one in the group looked very bothered by this amount of activity going on, but it was bothering me a lot. I was not used to this amount activity. After what felt like hours, we finally got to what I assumed the market was.

There were what looked like hundreds of tents set up selling everything to food to books to furniture. I heard more languages than I ever have before being spoken. It was a giant. Ruby, Jake or his boyfriend didn't even flinch at this organized mess. Ruby spoke up to the group.

"Ok! Get what you want and meet back here in two hours! I will send a signal if you are not back!" Ruby said. Jake and his boyfriend took off pointing at different things and looking at all the colorful drinks and food. Ruby turned to me.

"You look very overwhelmed right now. I know this might look like a lot, but its not. I want to find the best candy I can and bring it into the school!" She said smiling and running into the crowd. Well, guess i'm alone now.
