CHAPTER 4

'Hi ,I'm Mackenzie Evans,what's your name'asked Mackenzie.'My name is Iris Redwor 'said Iris shyly.'Oh what a pretty name'said Mackenzie.'Thanks,my cousin always says that it doesn't suit me a bit,I should have been dark haired and dark eyed and wear purple clothes ,then I would look like it' replied Iris losing some of her shyness.'Iris ,you'r a newcomer too,aren't you ,would you be friends with me best friends?'asked Mackenzie 'Of course I'll be friends with you Mackenzie but we can't be best friends because I already have a best friend,Carrie,'said Iris blushing 'Mackenzie 's face fell for a moment but then she smiled and said 'Of course,and call me Micky, that's my nickname 'she responded.

Then they both started chatting about the Academy.'Which house will you be in'queried Micky.'I don't know,do they decide themselves' asked Iris.'Don't you know,every house has its own special interest ,Rose house has acting, Daffodil house has Art, Poppy house has writing(creativity), Lily House has music and Daisy has housekeeping , your house depends on your special interest 'clarified Micky 'Then I'll be in Poppy House 'exclaimed Iris'Wait a minute ,then Carrie will be in Lily 'she gasped. 'Oh,that's bad,but I'll be in your house 'said Micky with a gleam of satisfaction in her eyes ,Aha , now she would be more close to Iris and in no time Iris would be her best friend instead of that dreadful Carrie's,she marveled in her thoughts . 

Somewhat consoled Iris started to ask 'Would there be.......At that moment a knock sounded at the door and Miss Johns came in 'Are you settled girls'she asked ,and she saw the girls not in their nightclothes lying on the bed but in ordinary clothes ,sitting on the bed and talking to each other.'Why haven't you changed 'she demanded.On receiving no answer she commanded' Get your nightclothes and get into bed this instant ,and if I hear one more voice I'll take you to Miss Dennis'.The girls quickly got on their nightclothes and scuttled to their beds.
