We were moving the last of my people through the caves, we use to mine long ago for the crystals, for they can be used to add different effects to any elementals magic, but crystals have not connected with our or any power for a long time. That is what my grandma and the others think happened when I froze the water fall and froze us in here. That the cave being crystal itself allowed my power to get strong enough to make a wall that acted like a shield and is giving us time to escape, still don't explain where my frost element came from, but I was not stupid or a child I know my mom was a water element so my father had to be from the frost travelers. We came to an anther opened room in the cave system when it went down the line that we were going take a break here, before heading down the last tunnel and back into the night.

"Legacy, child I need to ask something of you." My grandmother told me.

"What is it grandma?" I asked in return.

"We are headed south to anther water village to tell them what has happened. I need you to go find the earth village, and the frost travelers, and tell them of this night, and get them to join our fight now while we still have a chance or watch their villages fall as well." My grandma asked with my hand in hers.

"I don't even know where to start, and I am just a kid they won't listen to me." I exclaimed nervous because I did not want this responsibility and in truth, I was scared to leave my grandma again.

"Then child you make them listen, and you head northwest and let the goddess and your mother guide you. A lot of our people are gone, and the king wants to do to this world what he did to our village we have to stop this, and I know you can do this Legacy." Grandma replied patting my hand with her right one.

"I will go with you Legacy." Kaden said.

"Your hurt and this is not something you have to do Kaden." I replied partly because I still did not want to go myself.

"It's not something I have to do but you are my friend and someone I love, and I would be willing follow you anywhere. It's not like I got any other place to be right now." Kaden explained, and think about Cleo, and feeling the emptiness inside him.

I walked up and kissed his check and thanked him for I truly was scared and did not want to or think I could ever do this on my own or even at all. In one quick moment the only life I have known was ripped out from underneath me and there was so much darkness left where there was once only light, but the night like the darkness was my friend. It was a comfort to me, I don't know if it is my dreams or just the peace I feel in the darkness, but I viewed the darkness in a different way than most people.

We started to move again and made it to the exit on the other side of the mountain our cave is in and I knew that I had to watch my people walk one way and I go anther to try and convince elementals to fight a war they never wanted to. We have never had a true war in Karr, for we do not believe we have to kill each other because we are different, and it's written in the words of the goddess that there is always peace in this world. What is sad in some ways it was still true the King of fire and smoke was not killing us all because he just simply thought we were different; he was killing us to gain himself some more power and a bigger kingdom. He wanted a lot of power he wanted to rule us all, but if this was to be a fight our first true war, then we will fight for what we believe in, to keep who we are.

As Kaden and I gathered what supplies we had on us and the warriors and people could spare for us to take along on our journey. We started to get ready for us to leave our people for the very first time in our lives, and I knew I was scared, and even with Kaden standing there hurt but strong had the fear showing in his eyes. This was going to be a life or death journey and not for just Kaden and I but for every person who would stand against the fire kingdom, any person who would stand with us.
