A death echo isn't scary. It's when a person continually replays their death in a loop. To get someone out of a death echo yelling and trying to speak to their human side may help to get them out of their loop. Generally having a connection with the person can help break the loop faster.
Death echoes generally happen where they died. But if their bodies had been moved to another location then their loop will happen there. If perchance you experience a death echo, you can leave the area or try to snap the person out of it.

Watching the ghost of your wife die time after time while getting hit by a train. There's nothing worse than that. Oh, wait there is. She's holding on to our new born child as she runs away from the monster in our home.
She didn't see the on coming train with tunnel vision. At least until it was too late.
Each time he this comes to pass; all I see is her shocked face and pain as she gets flown back with the force of the train. She wouldn't let go of our child. Even in death, she wouldn't let go.
