"My get-up-and-go got up and left without me."

"And why is that Dear."

"Because I am not a morning person and you are. I would lie more sleep so it left to do its thing."

"Alright Tay. Don't take too long. I have plans for use tonight that I don't want to be delayed because you wanted to work late instead of doing it now."

"Dan, I love you but please stop. I work form home. I won't be late for your plans; I will already be here. Be safe and don't choke."

He mumbles as he leaves our room. I know he was rolling his eyes at me. What he doesn't realize is, being a writer is harder than it looks. I had gotten inspired for my book and didn't want to lose my train of thought. Hence why I am still in bed without having opened my eyes while talking with him. He enjoys my work just like everyone else does. I can't help when I get inspired for a part of my book.

If I don't put it down in words at least in the spur of the moment I will forget my train of thought and I will miss a critical loop that I would otherwise miss if I put it off.

That's why I also know with his eye roll he also smirked. He wants to know what I got down because it had me at my computer until 3 this morning. Which only gave me like 4 hours of sleep until he got up and asked why I wasn't up yet. I got a chunk of it written down thankfully and don't think I missed anything.

I stretch as I open my eyes to the bright room. Ugh if only I could get some more sleep. Hopefully an early night tonight. If his plans allow it that is. I wonder what he is planning anyways. It's neither of our birthdays. I wont stress too much about it, I won't be able to guess it anyways.

Mm nice fuzzy robe this is. I wrap it around myself as I go to my office. I open my computer and load what I've been working on. I start to skim through my work as I yawn slightly. I elaborate where needed and or edits certain parts, but for the most part it is in pretty decent shape. That is until I get to the bottom of what I wrote.

Beware the figure behind you. Not that you need it.

I tilt my head confused. I do not remember writing that. I squint my eyes confused. Someone exits my room. It looks like Dan.

"I thought you left for work already dear."

He looks up but his face is blurred out. What is going on. He looks sluggish himself. A dark figure walks out behind him. I black out

An undetermined amount of time later

I wake up. Or come too anyways. My head is throbbing. I blink several times as my eyes adjust to the darkness I am in. It's cool here and I am tied to a chair. I move around, but sadly I am secured tight. Damn I was hoping to be able to slip out. Not that I know where I am for sure. I can hear others breathing. My heart races.

"Whoever you are better let me go." I say into the darkness. My voice doesn't echo off the walls. Must be inside.

"If we don't?" A deep male voice says. I cower away from its booming voice as it came from right behind me.

My body shakes.

"That's what we thought. We want all your money." Another male voice speaks.

"We don't have money you have us mistaken." My husband says with a shaky voice. Oh, dear god they have him too.

"Don't hurt us. We don't have money but we can give you whatever we can." I try to plead with them, hoping they don't hurt us.

"Oh, you'll give it to us one way or another." The man says behind me as I feel something cold touch my shoulder.
