Chapter 2
"Riley? Who's Riley, Haven?" Dr. Marshall asks.
"Someone I've known for a really long time. He's the one, who takes hold of me in my dreams, but something else happened. I kept hearing my name being called, when I asked whatever was calling me who it was, it said my name."
"Are you sure it wasn't just repeating your name over and over?"
"It wasn't, I asked why it kept calling my name, and it gave me an answer, it told that it had been looking for me," I explain.
"I suggest that you see a fellow psychiatrist that I know, his name is Dr. Drake O'Reilly," he tells me while scribling on a piece of paper, "Give this to my secretary and she'll give you his information."
"Okay, thanks Dr. Marshall," I tell him while taking the paper from his hands.
I walk out of his office and open up the piece of paper, when I read it, there's bits and pieces of a sentence. It reads:
O'Reilly... contact information.
Found out her dreams,
IT"S HER!!!
Something tells me Dr. Marshall isn't telling me everything I need to know. But, nonetheless, I hand the paper the chipper lady and she returns to me with another piece of paper. It has Dr. O'Reilly's information on it, and a hand written sticky note, It'll all make sense soon. Don't be afraid. I take off the sticky note and crumple it into a ball, then walk over to my mom.
"He's sending me to a different shrink," I tell her, while handing her the paper.
"Dr. Drake O'Reilly," she starts, "What so special about him?" she asks.
"How, am I supposed to know? He just told me he was going to send me to see him instead," I explain.
"Alright, I'll give him a call and set up an appointment for you," she tells me.
"Great, just great. I love going to see shrinks all the time," I reply sarcastically.
"Haven, don't start. I know you're not loving the idea of seeing a psychiatrist. But, please just try, I'm not making you do this because I'm selfish and want a good nights sleep, I really am trying to help you Haven."
"I know, mom. But right now I just need to sleep."
"Alright, let's go home."
As soon as we get home I immediately head up to my room and close the door. I need time alone, time to think. I lock my door, so that no one can disturb me. I walk over to my desk and turn on my laptop, I'm going to do a little research on Dr. O'Reilly. As soon as my laptop boots up and I login to my MSN I have fifteen e-mails, most from facebook, but one catches my eye. It's from an unkown e-mail adress. I open it and it reads:
Hello, Haven.
You may not understand what I'm about to tell you, but maybe, it will help answer some of your questions.
You're special, you have a gift that no one will be able to understand, but I do. I'm sure that, Dr. O'Reilly will be able to shed some much needed light on this situation as well, but if you have any questions about this, feel free to ask me.
Sincerely,
MM
Who's MM? And how does this person know about me? My mom better call Dr. O'Reilly soon. I pull up my internet browser and go to google, and then type in Dr. Drake O'Reilly: 0 results found. I try it again, 0 results found. Why would Dr. Marshall send me to a fake psychiatrist? Unless, Dr. O'Reilly isn't an actual psychiatrist, but then why would Dr. Marshall send me to see him? It must be the same reason I got this e-mail from MM. This day seems to be gettin weirder and weirder.
