It wasn't that bad yesterday, my parents were mad. But it was my fault, they weird worried about me. They told me that it was dangerous and I just disregarded it, like it was nothing. I had to be disciplined, who knows what kind of person I would be if I never got disciplined.
Mom set me down after dad was done. She told me why they were so worried, the same car from a couple of weeks ago just keeps popping up. She told me they see the car everywhere, they can't go a day without seeing it somewhere. Following them everywhere they go, mom says it's too dangerous to leave the house.
Then dad came back into the room and sat down next to mom. "We have pulled you out of school for the rest of the year" He said. My eyes widened and I opened my mouth to say something. "We had to Lily, we don't want the bad guys to get you" mom said.
"Can't we fix this any other way, I don't want this. Is it really necessary?" I begged them. "Now you listen you brat" dad yelled, "We are trying to keep you safe, to keep you alive. Do you want to die, do you want to break all of our rules. Are you trying to say we aren't keeping you safe?".
Mom started pacing and plucking at her shirt. She stopped pacing abruptly and turned to me, she looked my right in my eyes and stalked over. She grabbed my chin and turned my head up to meet her eyes. "We are doing what is best. We have been taking care of you for so long and right now you are just braking our heart".
My eyes started to water, they were right. They are just looking out for me, like they always do. They know what is best for me. I'm just a kid, I'm being a brat. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, please forgive me. Please I'm so sorry for being a brat. You know what is best for me and I trust you" I sobbed.
Mom let go of my chin and I fell back into the couch. I felt my dad staring at the side of my head and turned to look at him. "You should watch your mouth" Dad muttered. With that I fled upstairs to my room.
Later that night my parents had their friends over again. They were weirdly quiet today, I didn't hear my dad making a single joke. Not to long after they came, people started shouting and I heard the front door slam shut. I tiptoed into the hall, to see if I could hear what they were talking about.
"So how are you going to do it man?" someone said. I heard someone walking around and a chair scraped against the floor. "I don't know yet, but I have to figure it out quickly" my dad said.
I quietly walked back to my room and closed the door. My thoughts were consumed by this thing they were talking about, but soon I couldn't keep my eyes open and fell asleep.
