Lily's way out

Chapter 13:

The curtains were open and I could see the sun shining in through the window. It was morning, the birds were chirping and the people were waking up.

I grabbed a clean shirt and sat down behind the desk. The door opened and I heard someone walk up to me. His hand went through my hair and pulled my head back slightly.

"Your hair is getting so long, I love how it looks right now." Behind me stood the press in his full get up. I could see the dark spots on the worn out leather cut and I could almost smell the blood that I know was on his arms.

I don't know what it was he said but all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head. Opening my eyes made me realize that I was lying on the ground.

"Clean yourself up and come with me dammit woman I won't say it again."

The room was spinning a bit when I was finally up on my feet again. I quickly pulled the shirt down and threw my hair up in a ponytail. Beast grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him towards the stairs. Something was wrong. He rushed me down the stairs and pushed me in front of him towards the basement.

Then I heard it, the first shot.

It didn't stop there, not long after the first shot it started raining shots. Beast roared something at a couple men that ran past us and then pushed me down the stairs. I slipped on the first step and tumbled down.

"Stay the fuck down and don't you dare move dolly I will be right back."

With that beast shut the door and I heard the lock on the door click. I crawled into the corner of the room and made sure that I was hidden away. The sound of gunshots got louder and louder and it felt like the shots were getting closer and then I heard it.

Someone called my name.

And again and again and again.

And it didn't stop, it got closer.

"Lily"

"LILY"

"LILY PLEASE WHERE ARE YOU."

I shivered, was it that cold in here? Normally when I'm down here I feel very hot. Then the door burst open and in the door opening was a man in a cut and I knew.

Multiple men ran down the stairs and I noticed their cut. I noticed their size too and I couldn't hear anything apart from the beating of my own heartbeat in my ears.

They started closing in on me and I could only see that they were talking but I could only hear the constant beating in my ears. They stalked closer and I couldn't help but flinch away.

Then another man stormed down the stairs and walked up to me. He crouched down in front of me and held my face in his hands. It took some time but I could finally hear what he was saying.

"Lily I'm here everything is going to be alright," It looked like he was searching my eyes for something,"Please Lily it's me."

"Get away I don't know you.. please let me go.. please." I curled in on myself and it felt as if my heart was beating out of my body.

"Oh Lily what have they done to you?"

"We have to go now, beast got away and this place isn't safe. We can explain everything later but we need to move now."

"Yes I will take her with me in the van, get one of the prospects to ride my motorcycle back please."

The man in front of me turned back to me while the rest started walking up the stairs out of the basement again.

"Lily I know you don't recognise me right now and I will explain everything in a minute but I need you to trust me and come with me."

I looked at the man and realized that I didn't really have a choice I could stay here but then I would be alone and the man looked like he had gone through a lot to get to me today. I decided to just go with the flow for now and I nodded.

"Okey," I whispered and I tried to get up. The man saw me struggle and he extended his hands towards me.

"Lily I'm going to lift you up, okay? My press was right, we need to get out of here right now and you can't walk fast enough."

I swallowed and looked up at him once again. I looked into his eyes for a second but I couldn't see any of the malicious things I was used to seeing.

"It hurts."

"I know Lily but I promise after today you will never feel this much pain again," and with that he lifted me up and ran up the stairs. He pushed my head against his shoulder when we got to the top of the stairs and I felt him jog through the house.

I could tell when we got outside, the sun was shining on my back and I could smell the outdoors again. When the man set me down on the ground I looked up towards the sky and my eyes closed.

"What are you doing sweety," a husky voice spoke up behind me and I turned around.

"I haven't been outside since I got taken away from my parents, I forgot how good it feels to have the sun shine on your face."

A dark look crossed on the face of the man in front of me and he muttered something under his breath. The man next to him put a hand on his shoulder, "We will take you to our favorite flower garden when we get back to the compound, you will love it there."

I must have looked really stupid, my eyes big and my mouth open. A tear welled up in my eyes, "Do you promise?"

The man who carried me out of the house stood next to me and looked at the two guys across from me and a sad smile graced his face, "They promise Lily and I swear if they don't I will take you there."

He opened up the doors to a van and gestured towards it.

"After you."
