Lily's way out

Chapter 16:

I woke up in a room that screamed bachelor pad.

There was just a bed and a dresser and a chair in the corner of the room. Nobody else was in the room and I could only hear very faint talking, it seemed very far away. Looking around I realise that I don't know whose room I'm in, but I'm hoping it's my brothers. I sat up in the comfortable bed and leaned against the pillows. If I thought too long about the situation that I was in right now, my head would hurt too much. So I decided to let the questions be and just lay there for a minute.

But then my stomach started to turn and I heard the grumbles. Stupid I thought, of course it's something that could only happen to me. I finally get some good food and I spray it all over someone I don't even know.

There was a knock on the door and it startled me so much that I shrunk back against the headboard causing me to hit my head against the wall.

"Lily are you okay? Can I come in please, it's me Anthony."

"Yeah come in.." I murmured.

The door opened and in the door opening stood Anthony, my brother apparently. I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Beast had found a guy who looked so much like my brother just so he could break me.

"Hey Lils can I come in or do you need some more peace and quiet?"

"No it's okay, where am I?"

Anthony sat down in the chair in the corner and I saw a smile tugging at his lips.

"This is my room inside the compound, I know it isn't much but when you have room for about 30 guys you can't make the rooms too big. But all the guys who sleep here everyday have their own bathroom so that's pretty good."

I looked around the room and pointed at the other door. "So that's the door to your own bathroom?"

"Yeah it is, do you maybe want to take a shower?"

I picked at my nails and shylie nodded my head. "If that's okay with you?"

"Lily can I please hug you?"

I looked up at Anthony and swallowed. "If you want to you can Anthony."

"No Lily I want you too tell me what you're comfortable with, so please if you don't want anybody to touch you we won't. I won't."

I looked at his face and thought back to the good memories I had of my brother.

"No I.. I want a hug please."

Before I knew it my head was pushed against a shoulder and I felt his arms wrap around me. It felt just like it had all those years ago. Like coming home.

Tears were burning a trail down my cheeks and dropped on his shoulder, he said nothing just held me a little bit closer and muttered something that I couldn't really hear.

He pushed me back and held me by my shoulders.

"I want you to know that I am so sorry that we didn't find you sooner Lily. I know that I can't even begin to imagine what you've been through but please just remember that me and my brothers will do anything and everything to keep you safe from now on."

I sat back against the pillows and looked up at Anthony.

"We're having a barbeque tonight in the garden, you are of course invited to come downstairs but if you don't want to I can grab some food and we can watch some television."

"Can I think about it while I take a shower?"

"Of course let me just grab a towel and some clean clothes for you, I'm really sorry the only thing I have right now are my clothes. But I promise we will get you your own clothes very soon."

Nobody had considered my opinion or gave it any thought in a long time, it felt nice to be taken care of.

"It's okay, I would really like to get out of these clothes."

I laid back down and shut my eyes for a little bit, while Anthony walked towards the bathroom. All I could think about is how for the first time in a long time I felt calm and happy.
