There had been a major change in the way everything had been managed.

Colby had gotten many new horse 'friends'. There had been so many new project horses to work with, as well, which was exciting for the soon-to-be high school graduate, Maggie.

To her, it meant more time to spend with these majestic creatures, more time at home, and just more time to spend, riding out her days without a care in the world. She found there wasn't enough time to study for exams, and train, and do all the other exciting teenage stuff. It didn't matter to her.

As long as she got to train and hang out with these abandoned animals, she couldn't care less. They had gotten six horses, one of the six being Colby, trained enough to start lessons. Starting lessons would help with the money aspect, is what Maggies brother, Jackson, had suggested. Even starting up a website with a donations section where people could, obviously, donate and help with feeding, vet bills, and other needs that was a necessity.

Maggie had found one of the horses, who she had named Loki, was very anti-social and hated any kind of contact. She named him Loki, because she thought he could be a bit of a trickster, life the one character from Marvel.

Her brothers were fans of the comics and heard the name 'Loki' come up a lot. She had also sat down and watched the first Thor movie with the two boys, liking the name, and the character, she thought it fitting for the black gelding.

It seemed only fitting, because Loki didn't fit in and being separated from all the horses, to give him this name. Overtime, though, he had put in a pasture with two other horses, brother and sister, who had taken an interest and instant liking to the gelding.

These other two horses name were Thunder and Lightening, or just Light for short, as cheesy as it sounds. After a while of being on his own, Loki had learned to trust those around him and finally excepted help and being put in a pasture with others.

The three got along very well. Jackson and Jasper almost always made a remark on how it was, Thor, Loki and Hela.

Light being Hela, Thunder being Thor and, obviously, Loki being Loki.

Loki obviously being the adopted brother, he became the popular one with all of the visitors and potential buyers of some of the horses. Everyone that came through wanted to buy him, but they wouldn't give him up that easily.

Not wanting to sell, they decided to turn him into a race horse. No, not the track racing, but barrel racing and pole bending, western riding, if you will. It didn't take long before noticing the personality in him.

Maggie had every intent to turn at least every horse into either a show horse, a lesson horse or a trail horse. Maybe even all three.

She had so much fun being able to see the personality come out in every horse. Of course, there had to be favourites in almost every 'heard'.

Loki, in the new trio, Ginny, or Gin, in the 'Harry Potter Kids', Newt and Carebear, who were just too cute not love.

The list goes on.

She had an actual note book with names for each one. A registered name and a regular everyday barn name. Each one was unique to the horse, all with one common theme. They were all either, a Disney character, an Avenger, The Walking Dead, Supernatural related or a regular name you'd find at the local rodeo.

Ranging from, Percy in Harry Potter, to Archer, being the name given to Daryl Dixon that one time when they got captured in Terminus.

Yes, her and her whole family are fans of both.

With all of these fun names, she couldn't hold back from giving them an interesting one. There was never a dull moment when calling for certain horses, like Ferret or Weasel.

She took them all, individually of course, on trail rides and took them out as one big herd up through the hills and open spaces they could all roam freely, without going off path or getting lost.

That was her favourite part of the day. After coming home from school, she'd get one of them brushed put on a bridle, maybe a saddle depending on the mood she's in that day, and go. She'd run like nothing else mattered.

Running through the fields forgetting about all her problems, all the drama that went on at school that day, just feeling that freeing feeling that was wonderful.

She could never get enough of it.
