Chapter 12 - Lunch With 'Mr Popular'

I waited in the cafeteria for Jake, Holly, Jayce, Henry and Jake’s friends. Jackson started walking over to me, he got the seat across me. I looked at him

“Hey” I smiled at him

“Hey there, you’re new right?” he stared into my eyes

I nodded “Are you?”

“No” he kept staring at me “I’ve been here for two years”

“Oh, so you’re like the King of this school huh?” I said

He laughed quietly “yeah, I guess you could say that”

Jake came over and sat next to me “hey beautiful” he said and kissed my cheek

“You have a boyfriend?” Jackson asked

I nodded “yeah, is that a problem?”

What was it with people here, did they all want me to be single or something? “No”

“Aw! You’re not jealous are you Jackson?” I said sarcastically, I hope he wasn’t jealous

“No, I don’t do relationships anyway” he replied back

“One night stands?” Jake asked

“Yeah, you could call it that” Jackson rose and then left

Holly, Jayce, Henry and two of Jake’s friends joined us for the rest of lunch

“What was that douche doing here?” Jayce said sitting down

“He was keeping me company, is that alright with you?” I said finishing my drink

Jayce shrugged his shoulders and started eating

“What does everyone have next?” Holly asked

“Science” Henry said

“Geography” Jayce said and took a ship of his drink

“HPE” Jake said

“Same” I replied

“Me too!” Holly shrieked

I didn’t hear what Jake’s friends had said, I was trying to remember everything that happened. The stuff I couldn’t remember.

Chloe, Rebecca and Sj… Hmm… I had no idea who they were, I felt kind of bad for not remembering my best friends… well, my old best friends.

“Rose?” Jake said

I hadn’t noticed that everyone was gone “yes? Sorry, I was just trying to remember” I sighed

Jake put his arms around me and held me tight “do you want to go and see them? Chloe, Rebecca and Sj?”

I nodded “they aren’t here yet…” Jake paused “but they should be here in a week or so”

“Ok” I smiled

“Hey, do you want to go and meet my roommates?” Jake said standing up “I know you have seen them hanging out the lunch tables and all, but you don’t know their names do you?”

I shook my head “no, not really”

We found them in Jake’s room, one had brown hair with blonde highlights, brown eyes, tanned and looked muscly “this is Reece” Jake said pointing to him. Yeah I have a boyfriend... but DAMN! Reece was hot!
