A New Experience

      Dawns breaks as the sun's rays touch ANHS and our brown-haired student, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, wakes up from a night's sleep. He looks at his clock and it reads 6:00 am. "Good," he thinks, "I still have plenty of time to get to Keyaki." For today's plans he had a few things in mind, but nothing too special, so he went to his closet and dressed up in a shirt and just put on a blue hoodie with some jeans and headed out. Finally, Ayanokouji arrives at the place he had planned on meeting up with Karuizawa and taking a look at his phone he had a few extra minutes to think about some things. On the other hand in the girl's dormitories...

      Karuizawa Kei had woken up at 5:00 am because last night she could not sleep very well. Over and over throughout the night, her mind raced over the text that Ayanokouji had sent her thinking this and that when eventually she did fall asleep. Now though, today was the day she was going to meet up with Ayanokouji so she got up, even though it was extremely early, and decided to get ready. First, off she went to go take a shower to freshen up and after her shower got all dried up and went to her closet to decide what to wear, but that was where she would encounter her problem, she couldn't decide on what to wear. Rummaging through her closet time flew by before she knew it an hour had gone by. "WHAT?! I didn't even notice it was already 6, I need to decide or else I won't make it there in time," so she decided to wear the clothes she bought the other night. On her, she wore a white long sleeve some jeans and boots. With that, she decided to head out having 30 minutes left to get there.

     Ayanokouji had sat at the meeting place for quite some time before he saw the silhouette of Karuizawa. 

"Good morning Kei."

"Good morning to you too Kiyotaka"

     Finally greeting each other Karuizawa took her seat next to Ayanokouji. Looking at Ayanokouji now Karuizawa got quite furious. "Look at him all casual and stuff I went through hell thinking about what I was going to wear thinking this meeting was going to be something important and he just decides to wear something plain the nerve of him!" Karuizawa thinks furiously to herself. But as much as she is mad she cannot help but feel happy because being able to spend time with him alone made her happy, so she did not dwell on it too much. As the minutes flew her heart could not help but beat faster and faster and with it, she got even more nervous. Then finally Ayanokouji spoke up.

"Kei I asked you to come here today for something I would like to try."

"W-what would that be Kiyotaka?"

"I would like to try and go out on a 'date' with you."

     Seemingly out of an abyss so dark one could not possibly see through it a statement broke through that shook Karuizawa down to her soul.

"H-H-HUH?! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY KIYOTAKA??"

"I said I would like to go on a date with you Kei."

"I-I-I know that but why so soon?"

"I do not exactly know I just know these are the things that 'couples' do right? If you do not want to I can cancel it." 

"N-NO! I-I'm not saying I want to cancel it...i-it's just that I'm surprised that you're deciding to do something like this."

"Well, would you like to continue Kei?"

"Y-y-yes, I want to continue with the d-d-date."

"Then it's settled let us go."

"R-right."

     The two of them then get up from the bench to proceed to Keyaki mall. On the way there Kei walked beside Ayanokouji and thought hard about if she wanted to try and hold Ayanokouji's hand. Her face grew red at the thought so she decided not too, at least not yet, so instead, she just walked closer to him touching shoulder to shoulder. Being able to walk beside him like that made her feel so happy that she couldn't help but smile. To finally be able to walk alongside him like that felt so surreal to her, no more did she have to hide her feelings for him brought her great relief. Ayanokouji noticed his companion smiling and couldn't help but wonder what she was so happy about and also in his mind, he couldn't help but notice the beauty that Karuizawa had. "I can sort of understand why the other boys here like Kei so much she does have the beauty to attract that much attention," Kiyotaka told himself. They reached Keyaki mall after a solid 7 minutes of walking and once they got there Karuizawa suggested that they head over to the Pallet and Ayanokouji had no objections so they headed there. The Pallet was usually filled with students but since they were there so early in the morning it was only them inside the cafe'. They went up to the register and ordered their drinks.

"Good morning sir what will you be having today?"

"Just hot chocolate is all." 

"Alright, sir that'll be 20 points."

     Ayanokouji paid for his drink and now the cashier asked Karuizawa for her order.

"For you ma'am what'll it be?"

"Ummm your today's special latte' please and decaffe will ya?"

"Sure right away that'll be 22  points."

    The two wait for their drinks to be served so they find a place to sit near the entrance of the Pallet. As they sat down Karuizawa looked at Ayanokouji with menacing eyes. Ayanokouji notices and decides to speak up.

"Is there something wrong Kei?"

"You know the man is supposed to pay for the lady's drink as well right?"

"No, I did not I will learn from my mistake," Ayanokouji replies with the same blank face as usual.

"Mouuuu you're so difficult Kiyotaka," Karuizawa says with a pouty face

     The two continue drinking but in total silence and the silence has gotten Karuizawa anxious.

"You're not much of a talker Kiyotaka you know that?"

".....Well, I'm sure you know this since you know me better than anyone but you know I have a difficult time talking to others."

"That's not true at all whenever you were carrying out your plans you spoke with ease and knew what to talk about but now there's not a single word coming from you."

"I'm sorry about that but I have nothing to discuss."

"Well...ummm.... then let's find some things to talk about."

"If you want we can."

"Uhhh then umm what's your favorite color?"

"Green."

"Favorite type of food?"

"Hmmm, I do not exactly have a favorite type I can just eat whatever there is."

"Mouuu this still isn't working out like I had hoped can you not try to talk Kiyotaka?

"I apologize but once again I do not exactly have great communication skills."

"Let's finish up here Kiyotaka I would like to go somewhere."

"Alright."

     Thinking about how stale their date so far had been Karuizawa decided to take the reins and teach Ayanokouji a thing or two about dates. Now, she wasn't too knowledgeable about dating herself she wanted this date to go well because it was with the one she loved so she was determined to do her best to teach Ayanokouji a lesson about dating.....
