A New Experience

Conquest Part 1

     Finally, the exam had begun and the Ayanokouji siblings were walking in the halls when over the intercoms it said, "We will now send the message to each pair who were chosen as the VIPs, we hope you do your best!" That's when the two siblings felt a vibration in their pockets. The two looked at each other and quickly moved to a secluded spot to check their phones. It read on their screens

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE THE VIPS CHOSEN FOR THIS EXAM DO YOU BEST AND TRY NOT TO GET CAUGHT!

     In Kiyotaka's mind, he knew how much of a lie it was when Chabashira said that pairs would be chosen at "random" or at least in their case the siblings were obviously going to be chosen. Be it Tsukishiro pulled some strings to make it happen or he did it himself the fact was they were the VIPs indefinitely. Even though they both knew this it wasn't going to stop them from winning because that's what they were bred to do. 

     They put away their phones and begin walking again with Kuzuha following behind Kiyotaka. The first order of business Kiyotaka needed to know more about Kuzuha and in turn, this too was Kuzuha's plan to know more about Kiyotaka. Kiyotaka was taking Kuzuha to a spot that was at the edge of the man-made island, which was also separated far from the rest of the school. They both sit down on the bench in silence. It was an awkward silence that lasted quite a while but at that time the two were sizing each other up. But it was Kiyotaka who spoke up first,

"Kuzuha, tell me if...." and with that, after a series of questions he assessed what her level of intellect was, and to his surprise, she was on par with him. He knew though that while he was talking to her that she knew what he was trying to do but Kiyotaka knew she would not answer dishonestly because he knew she had no reason too. In his head, he knew that was Kuzuha's chance to prove that she was superior to him intellectually but she underestimated him and overestimated her abilities a bit but regardless of that she was still as smart as Kiyotaka. What he concluded though was that she was more in tune with her "human" side and thus was able to express more emotions. Although because of this she was extremely cocky, unlike Kiyotaka who is mostly just calm and collected. That side of her though, Kiyotaka was a bit envious of because in his eyes she was more "alive" than he was. Thoughts aside he had an idea of who and what type of person his younger sister was. With the end of that Kuzuha spoke up,

"Kiyo, it's my turn now right? To ask questions."

"Yes, it is Kuzu."

"Woah Kiyo you gave me a nickname huh?"

Kiyotaka just stared back blankly without and answer.

"Haha, you're funny big brother, anyways..." Then Kuzuha began her assessment. In which she concluded, they were one and the same besides the fact that Kiyotaka was less "human". She was actually quite angry to find out that Kiyotaka was as smart as her because she knew that she was better but it seemed this was not the case. While they both sat Kuzuha's phone began to vibrate and she pulled it out and opened her messages it read,

FIRST ORDER: KIYOTAKA MUST GO INTRODUCE HIMSELF TO THREE RANDOM PEOPLE WHILE KUZUHA MUST FIND THREE THIRD YEARS FROM THE FOLLOWING CLUBS, SWIM, TRACK AND SOCCER AND MAKE THEM ALL MEET

TIME LIMIT: 1 HOUR

     Kuzuha read through the message and smiled, she lifted up her phone and showed her brother. He read it and nodded his head in acknowledgment, and then an unsettling feeling settled in the back of his mind. Before he could think any further his sister got up and said, "I'll see you in an hour Kiyo, do your best!" she gave a sly smirk and walked off. It seemed for Kuzuha that this task was as simple as breathing but Kiyotaka knew that he would struggle with this task more than with any other normal test he'd done in his life. Alas, he could not dwell on the thought any longer and set out to try.
