Jules POV
I woke up this morning ecstatic because I was so ready for McKay's party tonight. This would be the first time I've had since in this shitty town. Kat was supposed to come over later so she can do my makeup and all that good stuff. But until then I'll just go see what my dad is up to.
To no surprise, I found him in the kitchen cooking. He's really been trying ways to distract himself since my mom left when I was 11. I really didn't care for her she's a bitch who put me in a physic ward. But in a crazy way, I thank her for doing so. I got even closer to my dad. I can basically talk to him about everything he understands me and I understand him.
"Good morning dad how are you feeling today?" I ask him with a smile
"Oh hey good morning kiddo you seem to be in a pretty good mood today." He says to me returning the smile.
"Of course I'm in a really good mood today."
"But there's something I want to talk you about."
"Is something the matter Jules?" He asked with a very concerned expression.
"No not all it's more of a question do you believe it's possible to encounter the same stranger more than once in a lifetime?" I ask him honestly wanting an answer.
"Well Jules I do believe that there's a city full of people who you just see around but if whomever you are referring to is meant to be no longer be a stranger in your life the opportunity will present its self." He says to me sipping his coffee.
Hmm, I think to myself maybe he's right. Maybe there's a chance I'll see the girl on the bike again but I can't be worried about a girl I don't know. I have a party to ready for.
Rue's POV
I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. I checked it and instantly smiled because it was a text from Lexi.
From Lexi💕🙊: Good morning sleepyhead. How are you feeling today?
To Lexi💕🙊: Good morning and I'm feeling pretty good. I asked out the most amazing girl out yesterday. And she said yes.😊
From Lexi💕🙊: Awe you are too sweet.
To Lexi💕🙊: I'm just being honest. But what's up?
From Lexi💕🙊: I was just wondering if you wanted to swing by later and hang til Cassie and I get ready. And Maddy said she'll come by and pick us up.
To Lexi💕🙊: Of course, I'll be over around 6 is that okay?
From Lexi💕🙊: That's fine see you then love 😘.
I sat my phone down and laid back with sighed with relief. I'm finally happy not just a euphoric happy it's a real happy a kind of happy I was before my dad died. Lexi has been there for me ever since then. I thank Lexi for being there when she really didn't have to be she's really amazing.
"Are you done thinking out loud?". Gia says in my doorway.
"Huh" I respond falling off my bed.
"I'm glad you finally asked Lexi out she's good for you," Gia says smiling
"Wait how did you I asked her out?"
'You've been real giddy since you came back from her house yesterday andddd she called me last night and told me you did." Gia responds.
"Also I want to help you pick a outfit for the party tonight. No offense Rue but you dress like you are homeless."
"Well shit thanks Gia that makes me feel great about myself."
"Oh shut up you know I still love you though come on get up so I can help you get ready don't worry I think you'll like what I pick out." Gia says way too excited.
'Ughhhh this is going to be a long process". I say facepalming.
