Rue's POV
I ran into the house and immediately looked for Maddy and Kat.
"MADDY! KAT! WHERE ARE Y'ALL AT?" I yell.
"We are right behind you. Please stop yelling." Maddy says casually sitting down.
"I need y'all help." I pleaded
"With what? The situation with you and Jules cuddling outside and Lexi catching you?" Kat says sipping her tea.
"Aw man y'all already know about that?" I respond facepalming myself.
"So it is true?" Maddy says laughing.
"No it's not but I- nevermind that. Do y'all have any ideas on what I can do to show Lexi that she is the one for me?" I ask them in a pleading tone.
"Sorry little Rue Rue you are on your own with this. You made your bed now you have to lie in it." Kat says getting up and putting her cup away.
" Yeah Rue you are so out of luck on this one." Maddy chimes in
"The only advice we can give you is do something from your heart." They say in unison.
"Rue you know Lexi better than the both of us. You are her best friend/girlfriend. Shouldn't you know what she likes?" Kat says with a arched brow.
"Actually wait I have a idea. But I'll do it in the morning it's pretty late. Maddy, do you mind if I crash here for the night?" I ask her.
"You already know where you can sleep" Maddy says
"Yeah yeah upstairs and the last door on the left" I respond going upstairs.
"I know the perfect thing I'll do for Lexi. I'll show her." I say smiling and going to sleep.
Lexi's POV
"Lex Lex wake your ass up." Cassie says throwing a pillow at me.
"Cassie it's 10 am and also a Saturday why just why must you do this." I ask her while rubbing my face.
"Because you have some plans today and I have to make sure you are up and dressed for them." Cassie responds with a big goofy smile.
"With who?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.
"With your baby Rue silly" Cassie says matter of factly.
"Cassie after last night. I don't know if I'm ready to talk to her yet. I'm not mad at her but or anything but I'm still hurt by what happened." I say sitting up in my bed.
"Which I completely understand but you know Rue wouldn't do anything to purposely hurt you." Cassie says sitting down next to me.
"Cassie you saw the same thing I did last night... What if I wouldn't have gone out there when I did? And I saw something I wasn't supposed to. If I saw Rue kiss Jules. I'd honestly be so heartbroken." I say tearing up
"Lex hey Lex calm down. It's alright I already talked to Rue. She already told me she feels awful about what happened. And she also took me she has something special planned just for you today. But if you don't hurry up and get dressed. You'll never find out what she has planned." Cassie says to me in a reassuring tone.
"Fine I guess I'll get dressed. Last weekend I'll have free since school starts Monday. Plus I do miss her so I'm really excited to see her." I say while putting some clothes on.
"Once you are dressed I'll drive you to meet Rue." Cassie says walking out the room.
Bennett I don't know what you are up to but that's what I love about you. You keep me guessing.
Rue POV
"Rue are you ready for your date with Lexi?" Gia and mom asks me.
For everyone wondering I woke up super early this morning and Maddy gave me a ride home so I could prepare for everything for Lexi and I's date today.
"Almost I just need to finish this last thing." I tell them.
"Hey Rue, what is that you are working on?"Gia asks walking into my room.
"It's a scrapbook of all Lexi and I's pictures. Like look this picture is from we went to our middle school formal. This one is from our first day of high school."
"What's this picture it looks fairly recent?" Gia asks me while holding a picture in her hand.
I take the picture from her and just smile real big.
"This picture is from when I finally asked her out and it's also the same day we shared our first kiss" I say with a huge smile.
"Well if I do say so myself, I think she'll love it. You've been working on it all morning." Gia says
I've been working on it for a while but what better time to give to her than now. I really do love her I just hope after our date today she doesn't have to question my love for her.
"You'll never know until you see her right?" Gia asks me
"Yea you are right" I say putting everything in my bag.
I grab my bag and I grab a little box I had hidden to put it in my pocket.
"What's in the box?"Gia asks
"Now that's a surprise you going to have to wait for that one." I tell her.
"But I'm about to get going and meet Lexi. Bye Mom Bye Gia. I'll see y'all later and I'll tell y'all how everything goes." I say grabbing my bike and riding away.
"Good because we'll be waiting" They both say laughing.
"Okay Operation Best date begins" I say pedaling faster.

Hey y'all Kenzie here and I know it's been a long time since I last updated but I swear I been trying to push content out but due to everything going on with Covid-19 I've been working overtime at my job and this has been my first day off in weeks but nonetheless I have tomorrow off too so I'll have a update maybe two done before the weekend is over.
