The dinner was not what I expected. My parents and Leila got well together but Connor was just plain old Connor and on top of that he had to invite Amanda, I know he did this intentionally. But the best thing was that Leila is happy. And as long as she was satisfied so was I.
As I pulled up to Leila's house, I noticed that the lights inside were on and there was definitely someone inside, but didn't Leila live alone?
"Leila don't get out of the car, there's someone in your house." But who was I kidding, it's Leila after all. She rolled her eyes and got out of the car and started walking towards the house.
"Leila, are you kidding me right now, get back here." I shouted but no response so I followed her and got the keys from her to open the door.
I slowly went inside not wanting the intruder to know that we were here but Leila just slammed the door behind shut so loudly that even the people in the other side of the city would've heard.
There were some noises coming out of the kitchen so I slowly made my way towards the kitchen and picked up a vase on my way, you never know what's coming for you.
"While you're at it, fetch me a glass of water." she shouted from behind, where she was already sprawled at the couch. I swear she's trying to get us both killed.
As I entered the kitchen I saw the only person who could make my day worse. That's why Leila wasn't worried because she knew it was him. Obviously it was him.
It's always him. Liam Williams, Leila's so called best friend. I don't know why she even needs a guy as a bestie, it's not there is shortage of girls in this world.
I don't have anything against them being friends, hell i don't even care who she's friends with but the thing is that this particular human being is just so annoying. He's the kind of person who doesn't even have to do anything to annoy you, they just need to breathe and you're annoyed. And he keep giving me these creepy smiles.
"What are you doing here?" I asked utterly and completely annoyed at him.
"For starters, I am Leila's best friend, I can come here whenever I want but I just came here to check up on Leila." he said giving me one of those creepy smiles.
I don't know what to do with him because him being with Leila can be pretty damn dangerous for me because as annoying as he is, he definitely has got a smart brain.
"Leila is completely fine, so you can go now." I said.
"Uh uh, not going anywhere man, this night with Leila is mine." And that did it.
"Listen dude, stay away from Leila, I am her boyfriend not you and I don't know why she keeps you around." I said stepping closer to him.
"Enough Brad, What's with you? He's done nothing wrong, why are you acting like that?" Leila said coming in between because I swear if she hadn't, i would've punched this guy in the face if he said a single more word.
"Are you seriously taking his side now? He just broke into your house without and you've nothing to say." I shouted and she winced but seriously?
"Brad I think you should go now." she said whilst filling a glass of water calmly. The one thing I hate about Leila is that she can stay calm in situations like this and that makes the other person more angry and she knows it but she's not doing anything wrong technically.
"Obviously I should leave." I stormed out of her place like there was no air to breathe. I don't get it, I have friends too but none of them break into my house, okay maybe one. But it's not a girl after all.
As I reached home, i heard my phone go off and when I saw the username it was Leila but I was not going to talk to her right now at any costs.
Later I received a text from that said
'I didn't mean to come off as rude, I am sorry :( ' -Leila
'I don't wanna talk right now, have fun with your friend ' -Me
'Come on, you don't need to act this way, he's just a friend.' -Leila 'Sure.' -Me 'Braddd!!! don't be like that, you know you're the only guy I have feelings for' -Leila
'Goodnight' I turned my phone off after texting for one last time and tossed my phone away on the couch.
I needed a long relaxing shower so that I could finally go to sleep and stop thinking about all the things happening in my life right now, especially with Leila.
