This book is dedicated to my beloved dog who passed away just as I began writing this. I owe my life to that dog and all he has done for me. I truly would not be here if it wasn't for him and I will live everyday for him.
Rest in peace my sweet boy!
I give you all my love.

"So you were actually with a scary pack? Were they like those rouges with the big red eyes?" He jumped to his feet," Or, or was it like those more prim-" Onyx grabbed at his head as he tried to pronounce the word. He stuttered the 'p' a few more times before I decided to step in.
"Primitive?"
"Yes!" He exclaimed, " That's it!! Were they.. prim..a..tive?"
I laughed at his attempt at the word, the young wolf was smart for his age and he may eventually make a great scholar, even if he struggles pronouncing bigger words he understood them well.
"Oh Onyx.." I leaned down and picked up the smaller wolf, perching him on my hip as I began heading to his house. He insisted on seeing me after the whole ordeal that happened. We've been hanging outside for an hour talking.. well.. Onyx was talking. He had a lot to fill me in on from my absence and he was excited to imagine what thrilling adventures I was on.
"You know I wish I could tell you.. but I don't want you to have any nightmares, okay?"
"Oh.. fine." He huffed.
I laughed at Onyx's questions and games. He hadn't stopped talking since I was able to see other pack members and he was very adamant on being the first. Though I enjoyed spending time with him, I still needed to de-stress from all that's happened. I've constantly been with someone since I've been back and I haven't had a moment to myself. From Jason.. to the Alpha and Luna.. Raven constantly pestering me about things that occurred to me and Ash..I needed time alone. My wolf has been oddly quiet since our return and I was hoping that strange wolf would come to me soon. No one here can guide me on what I need to do.. only he can.
"You finally glad you got time with him, baby?" Rose was standing in the driveway of her home, she held out her hands as we neared and carefully took Onyx from me.
"Oh yes! His life is better than any book I could read! I wanna spend time with him again!" He babbled.
We both laughed as we offered the other a small wave as we made our separate ways.I let out a breath and stuck my hands in my pockets. Though it doesn't snow here, the air had a small bite to it and the leaves danced with the breeze that blew through. I looked to the pack house but I felt so disconnected from it. I can't go back right now.. I need to go and think.
Is it really smart for us to be alone so quickly? It's only been a handful of days since we escaped.
I rolled my eyes at his worries.
We'll be fine. I need to find a way to speak with that wolf again.. I want to know why he's doing this to me and I need his help.
No. It's not time yet.. let's go back to the pack house, maybe go to our snow room and relax but we cannot risk going out alone right now. Understood? My wolf growled, his anger was seeping into my own pool of emotions.
Fine.
He always has to be the voice of reason.. I just want to be alone but no, it's too dangerous.
I slowly made my way back home, as the wind began picking up. Dark clouds were beginning to roll across the sky and I could feel the looming rain that threatened to fall. I looked around as parents rushed their kids indoors and quickly shut any open windows or doors. I paused in my walk and looked up to watch the clouds pass by with their vengeance.
