Chapter 14

*Madison’s POV*

            I woke up the next morning and looked at the sleeping face of my mate and I smiled as I remembered the night before and I got out the bed to take a shower. After my shower I got out and got dressed; then I went to find Nicole to talk to her about the traitor. I followed her scent all the way to Alex’s door and I knocked; I heard a groan and a thud, and then I heard footsteps walking towards the door. The door opened to reveal a very tired looking Nicole but she livened up when she saw it was me, I smiled a little and said, “So Nicole if I remember correctly you think you know who the traitor is?” She nodded and gestured me to follow her towards her bedroom. We walked into her bedroom and she sat down in the middle of her bed; she gestured for me to do the same so I did. She nodded once to herself and then she started talking, “Ok so I was just wondering around the house a few days ago and I heard someone talking on the phone and I heard them say to attack while they still had the element of surprise and I went up to the door and smelled the scent coming from inside the room and it was Mark, Alex’s dad.” I growled and thought about it for a minute to see if he had been acting weird lately and I noticed that he had being lurking in places he shouldn’t have been so I guess he fits it. I nodded and told her, “Thank you Nicole. I’ll come back to you if he is the traitor” She grinned and went somewhere probably back to Alex’s room. I shook my head and went to find Mark to take him into questioning.

*Mark’s POV*

            I had just walked into the house when Madison walked up to me and from the look on her face I knew that she knew it was me. She came up to me and said, “I’m sorry Mark but I need to take you into questioning.” I nodded and followed her down into the cellar where we kept cells to keep rogues and people like that for questioning. She told me to sit in the chair and then told me to put my arms into the cuffs on the table; the bad thing about the cuffs is that they were made with sliver so they burned the werewolf wearing them. I hissed at the searing pain coming from my wrist when the cuffs touched them; Madison sat in the chair across from me and stared at me for a few minutes before she started talking. She started off, “Ok Mark… first question is who is the rogue you’ve been telling our information to?” I stared at her and then said, “Since you’re going to kill me anyway I might as well tell you. The leader of the rogues’ name is Steve and he is located west from here about 10 miles. They are planning to attack the pack three days from now since they think they still have the element of surprise.” She stared at me and nodded then she walked to the wall in the back and picked up a sliver knife that had a red handle on it. She walked up behind me and grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked my head back; the last thing I remember before dying was the coldness of the blade sliding across my neck…

*Madison’s POV*

            I watched the blood run out of his throat and I wiped the blade on his shirt and put it back on the wall of torture weapons and I went back upstairs to find someone and tell them to clean up the mess down there. I ran into Ashe while I was walking and she said, “Oh! There you are. I was looking for you.” I sighed and said, “Sorry babe I was taking care of the traitor.” She grinned and asked me who it was. I told her Alex’s dad Mark and she nodded while in thought. I asked her, “Why were you looking for me?” She looked at me and laughed, “You know what.. I forgot.” I laughed and asked her if she wanted breakfast and she nodded so I grabbed her hand and we went out to the diner in town. After breakfast we went home and I was grabbed by a VERY mad Alex, I heard Ashe growl and I smiled knowing she was mad someone was ‘hurting’ me. I calmly looked at Alex and asked, “Now Alex why are you handling you ALPHA like this?” I saw his stare waver and then he said, “Because my ALPHA killed my father for no reason.” I laughed and said, “I had a good reason to kill that good for nothing piece of crap.” Alex asked me, “And what is your reason?” I told him, “Because your father was telling rogues information about this pack and he is the reason the patrol was attacked and he’s the reason we are going to be attacked in three days so I suggest you let me go before I kill you to for being a traitor.” He let me go and walked away; I looked at Ashe and smiled.

            I had called a pack meeting to tell them that we would now be training three times a day to prepare for the battle against the rogues. They all complained but they seen reason when I threatened to kill them for being traitors too. So in an hour we had training to practice fighting skills.

*Ahe’s POV*

'           I changed into my training clothes and went outside to get ready for training; I saw I was the only person out there so I decided to work out a little since I having been doing that lately. First I did 500 pushups and then I did 510 sit ups. After I did all of them I saw that there was people outside watching me doing my work out so I said, “Ya’ll start doing this and we can start early just us.” They all grinned and started doing 50 pushups and then 60 sit ups; by the time they were done everyone was outside so I said, “Ok so. Me and the three who were out here before everyone will be training together, so the teenagers will split into all the other groups.” They all nodded and did what they were told; the three came up to me and introduced their selves; I found out I would be working with Ashley, Dave, and Jade. I said to them, “Since there are four of us we will do pairs. So pair up and then I‘ll tell you what to do next.” They nodded and paired up and I got paired with Jade, I grinned at her and then I said to them, “Ok, so first we will be working on defense, so face each other and then pick who will throw the punches and kicks first.” I let Jade do it first so I could see how good she was; turns out she pretty good; she has one hell of a kick too.

            After we switched sides and practiced that we worked on offense. I again let Jade go first and this time she wasn’t as good. I sighed and told her, “Jade you are favoring your right side. Try hitting me and watch me at the same time” She nodded and she came at me, I saw her coming for my left side with a kick so I ducked and I watched her leg fly over me. She stood there with her mouth open as if surprised I dodged it. I laughed and told her, “See you have to watch your opponent to see where they are going to strike.” She nodded and said, “Ok… I think I got it. Try and hit me.” I grinned and watched her and noticed she was now watching both sides of her and I grinned and tried to punch her in the ribs from the right but she dodged it and elbowed me in the back. I grinned and said, “See there you got it now.” She grinned too and we continued to work on it and by the time we were done she was almost as good as me but not that good.
