I woke up with (Y/N) snuggling into my side. Her left hand was on my chest. Rub my thumb over my mark. Pick her hand up to kiss her.

"Kissing yourself are we?" She looked up at me.

"Uhh..."

She started giggling. "I'm kidding, I'm glad you like your mark. Makes me happy." She knitted her finger with mine and nuzzled into my neck.

"Of course, I would, why wouldn't I?"

"I don't know," muffled reply.

"How's your arm," ask looking at the wound.

She pulls her head back, "it's fine Ace stop worrying already." She props herself up. "It was one bullet, there's no need to panic. It's not the first time I've been shot before and it probably won't be the last."

I gently push her onto her back. "You shouldn't have to get hurt. I should have protected you better." I rub her cheek.

Both of her hands reach for my face, she pulls me down to kiss me. "Ace I love you, I'll do everything in my power to protect you. If I get hurt, I get hurt."

"But why though? Why do you have to get hurt?"

"I care for you too deeply to see you get hurt. If you were to die right now, I would be with you within seconds."

I was shocked, that she would be willing to die to be by my side. "(Y/N)..."

"Ace you are my reason for living. You're the reason I get up every morning. Living the life of a marine was so hard. Cause you were out here. All I could do was make sure marines would run into trouble. So you had the chance to get away. I love you too much Ace. I can't live my life without you!" Tears started to roll down my face.

"I wish we found you sooner." Lean down and kiss her. "I promise to try not to get into too much danger."

She starts giggling, "I promise to try not to get hurt too much."

"Good, now let's get some breakfast." I jump out of bed and get dressed.

"After breakfast, we're going shopping. I need clothes and knickers now."

"Clothes yes, knickers no. G-string definitely!" She throws a shoe at me, I burn it by accident.

"Now a new pair of shoes!"

"(Y/N) it was an accident!" She picks up my hat. "Babe, what are you doing with my hat?" She gets dressed.

"Me nothing, nothing at all." She walks over to the mirror and puts my hat on. "It's not sitting right."

She fixes it with her left hand. Her shoulder starts to fire up. "It's perfect! It's right no need to fix it."

The fire travels up her arm. "It doesn't feel right to me."

"Babe I'm sorry, I'll get you whatever you want! Don't burn my hat!"

She pulls the hat down cover her face. Her arm was completely in flames, my hat untouch.

She takes it off and kisses me. "Really anything I want huh? That could be dangerous."

I quickly take my hat back. "You're dangerous!"

She pokes her tongue out. "You love it though."

"Yes, I do," pick her up from behind and spin around.

"ACE!" She laughs.

"I love you, (Y/N)."

"I love you, Ace."

I kiss her, hold her bridal style and run out of the room for breakfast.
