Chapter 36: Shade is Missing
When the foxes showed up, I was so stressed that I just had to get away from it all. So I stopped by Red and told him I was going to get some air, he nodded and continued. I was a little hurt cause what I meant by that was I want him to come with me, but he didn't get the hint, so I just ran to my spot and called out for Rose. Rose then came running because she heard the way I yelled it cause after a few minutes she showed up I started sobbing. Then I thought I heard that some wolves would cut their paws to relieve stress so that I might do one maybe, and that is where I started to make little cuts under my fur large enough to feel it but small enough to where it was hidden. I never told anyone but Rose, but times when it got bad, she would go and get ferns to cover them. After that, I would go and cut until one day a wolf showed up while I was sleeping and licked my cuts clean and bandage them, this would go on for weeks until I woke up to him changing the bandaging my paws.
