"Jackson stop," Carter says throwing the clothes that Jackson would put in the suitcase on the floor, as if his room wasn't messy enough from his previous temper tantrum. Jackson paid him no mind picking up the things he threw out his suitcase.
"Where are you even going to go?" Carter says standing in front of Jackson holding his shoulders. "Washington." Jackson says moving around Carter. The two had been going back and forth for awhile now, since Jackson said he was leaving with Jasmine. Carter couldn't understand why he would leave with a girl that tore his relationship with Sabrina with just two words and one action.
"Why with Jasmine though? Do you like her?" Carter says, he sat on Jackson bed letting him pack his things up. "As a friend, yes and we're both in the same position. We both lost someone special to us, so why should I hate her?" Carter sighed nodding his head.
"Listen Carter I don't know if I'm coming back, but when I do you'll be the first person to know."
"What do you mean you don't know? What you're gonna start a life with Jasmine up in Washington only to think what could have been with Sab-"
"Dude! there is no what could have been between her and me! It's over." Jackson yells, Carter nodded his head standing up.
"Jackson you're an idiot if you think you two are over by this little set back, if you were the same guy I knew in high school you'd know that this was an opportunity to win her back. You've changed a lot." Carter says leaving Jackson alone to pack his things.
Jackson sat down on his bed throwing clothes into his suitcase still. "How have I changed? what does that even mean?"
"Are you on the road yet?" Jasmine asked she was already in Washington waiting on Jackson, she left yesterday, she wanted to start over and she invited Jackson cause she figured he needed a break from everything that happened as well. Regardless of everyone's opinion on Jasmine she was a good person, a good friend, and she's was only following her heart.
"Yeah I've been hit the road, I'm like three hours away." Jackson says, he was driving on the highway going way over the speed limit but he always does that, it was dark now and raining so really he should slow down but he was running away from his problems and if he slowed down they might catch up to him. The regret of leaving might catch up to him.
"Okay well call me when you get here." Jasmine said and hung up the phone. Jackson turned his music back up and continued on his way.
"So he's gone?" Sabrina says sitting on her bed, she'd been laying there all day with nothing to do, she hadn't cried all day, nor did she laugh, talk or even smile, until Carter told her about Jackson leaving. Carter sat at her desk playing with a pencil.
"Yeah, he's gone..." Carter says Sabrina nodded her head, she didn't know how to feel about this, she told him to get out, to leave, and he's usually does anything Sabrina wants, but she didn't think he'd do this, again.
"Are you okay?" Carter asked coming to sit on the edge of Sabrina's bed, Sabrina just nodded her head yes although her eyes were saying no, and that was were the truth laid, in her eyes. She wasn't okay, she was sad, that her and Jackson's friendship was really over, she was angry that he left again without saying goodbye and most of all she regret ever telling him to leave, she regret expecting him to know that she wasn't happy when she played the part so well.
"Carter?"
"Yes?"
"Don't let me call him, text him or contact him, I drove him away and I should let him go." Sabrina says sliding her phone to Carter.
