"Ben, I know you care for her but-"
"But what mother? She's been ill, I do not blame her"
I felt light, like I was floating, unable to recognise the voices at this state.
What happened to me?
"She almost killed you!" The female said.
"She didn't mean to, her eyes were lime-green...it wasn't her, it was her curse" the young guys said.
Is that Ben?
What...what is he talking about and who is he talking-
"Stop blaming the curse! It is impossible for her to have it" another male said, sounding lower in tone.
"Well you ask Fairy Godmother yourself then!" Ben snapped, sounding made. I tried to move my arm to comfort him, as I hate seeing him mad. I can sense the wave of anger rolling off of him.
"Ben, don't raise your voice at your parents" the female said, making me hold my breath.
Belle and Adam?
What are they doing here?
So many questions filled my mind as I laid there, my eyes silled tight.
"And Mal is my queen, I know it wasn't her, it was her cruse. She been hiding it because people like you would think she's betraying everyone!" Ben exclaimed. I felt a warm hand hold mine, sparks between us.
Ben.
It seemed to snap me out my trace as I felt like I can move my body. I groaned, opening my eyes to see myself in a white hospital room, with Ben sitting on my bed, happy...while Belle and Adam narrowed their eyes at the sight of me awake.
"What happened?" I asked, trying to sit up.
I hissed in pain, prompting Ben to help me up slowly. Exhausted, I lent against the bed frame.
"You don't remember?" Ben asked sweetly.
Only then I noticed he didn't look too good either; his arms which were visible due to his rolled up sleeves revealed bruises and through his white top I could see bandages that were slightly red.
"She should remember" Belle said harshly, which surprised me.
I know she isn't fond of me anymore but what did I-
A familiar dark laughter echoed in my head as flashes of Ben's bloody body filled my vision.
I widen my eyes, confusing Ben.
"Mal?" Ben asked.
I immediately pulled my hand out of his.
"I hurt you!" I exclaimed, making his face drop when he realise I finally remember.
"I'm fine now...see?" Ben said, putting my hand up onto his heart, feeling his steady heartbeat "My heart is still beating"
That didn't help my panic.
"That's no excuse Ben: I said, looking down "I let my curse get to me. I thought you were my mother I-"
"Calm down, I promise I'm okay" Ben said "I knew it wasn't you, your eyes were glowing lime-green"
I looked at him, confused.
'Your curse is more set in than you think' the voice said, making me shake my head.
"Ben, we cannot risk it again" Adam said "I know you forgive her but what if it happens in public? She is not fit to rule!"
Both Ben and I gasp.
