Chapter 23

~Next Day~

I walked into the office after a morning walk, smiling as the sunlight came in.

Ben is peacefully sleeping, with a full stomach.

I am quiet surprised Ben's protective parents didn't raise an alarm, maybe they figured he needed the sleep.

Or Evie said something. 

I walked over to him, almost frightened to kiss him.

Why am I feeling butterflies again?

I haven't been romantic to Ben in what feels like forever.

I leaned down, hesitated, before I kissed him on the lips.

I went back, noticing Ben's mouth twitched into a smile before opening his eyes.

"Morning" I said, smiling faintly.

He chuckled and sat up, yawning.

"Wow, you need to put me in a 'deep sleep' every night, thats the best sleep I've had in a very long time" Ben said "And great waking up to your amazing kiss"

"Well you look much better anyway" I replied.

"Where did you stay?" he asked, making me blush slightly.

"I...um" I started "Slept next to you?"

"Wouldn't that put you under the curse as well?" Ben asked, worried for me rather than the invade of privacy.

"No, I created it, it won't hurt me" I replied, sitting on the bed "See?"

Ben nodded and then smirked.

"What?" I asked.

"You slept with me while I was asleep" Ben said "You took advantage of me!"

I blushed as he laughed.

"W-well I didn't do anything" I stammered "I didn't have a place to sleep and I didn't want you to be alone-"

"I'm only stirring Mal, I don't mind" Ben said, standing up "Now, let's see Fairy Godmother"

"Wait a second" I said and flicked my free hand.

Immediately his bed hair got neatly, his clothes he slept in is crease-free and not dirty, and shoes are on his feet. 

And topping it off with his crown, which I deliberately made crocked.

Ben smiled, looking at himself.

"Thank you" Ben said, "Now let's go!"

Ben knocked on Fairy Godmother's door as I stood nervously. 

What would she say?

Will she give it to us willingly? Or will we have to take it by force?

"Come in" Fairy Godmother said.

Ben looked at me and nodded as he opened the door, walking in first with me hidden behind him.

"Ben, what a surprise to see-"

She froze as she noticed me come next to Ben, almost a look of dread.

"Mal" she said, trying to keep her composure "It's a surprise to see you here...with Ben"

"Ben find me and we both found out some information" I said, using my magic to shut the door behind me as Ben and I sat ourselves down in front of Fairy Godmother's desk "That concerns you...that you have been lying to us"
