Stop the Hate: Team Joey!

Think About It...

Ok now that I've told you my story before I found about Anthem Lights... Think about your experiences before you discovered that ONE song that you knew they were the ONE! They were the band you were going to adore, to grow to know, to love....

Weather it was a bully, a sibling, an ex girl/boyfriend, or any of life's bumps that it decides to throw at you, how did you get through it? You struggled, you cried, you might have even screamed it agony. Somehow that very tiny voice deep down inside told you to hold on. Like it did for me. I know it did for you.

Admit it to yourself.

Think about all of those potential lightbulbs out there. They are lost in the dark. They need to feel loved. They are listening to any of the music out there, and jamming those earbuds as deep as they will go. As loud as it can go, but you still see tears running down their faces. They are not only broken, but they are shattered. Their whole world... Just shattered. They are trying to pick up the pieces by themselves and end up cutting their hands on the broken pieces of life. They might not have scars people can see, but they have ones that hurt even worse. The cuts on the inside from being teased, mocked, hurt, tortured, and even yelled at. They want to give up... "They are grasping at nothing but air" so they have nobody to "Just Fall" into.... That's what they think....

Can you remember back to that day that you found the song... You remember that smile across your face. You remember that tear that came out. That first tear that wasn't out of hurt, but out of love... You knew there was someone out their caring, even if you didn't know who. Not yet anyway.

Some listen to any random song that comes on the radio, random Pandora/Spotify cover/ song that comes on. Or they listen to their favorite song and listen to covers of that song. They discover an amazing cover of their song that is just amazing.

"I understand why everyone doesn't like that they did it, like they think it's not a song a Christian singer would sing, but honestly that's their mission; to cover popular songs so people can hear them so they hopefully they hear their Christian songs and find Jesus that way. I support Joey and Anthem Lights In doing that, and I'm not mad at all, but I understand why people are mad."

I agree with what she had to say. I am proud of Anthem Lights they do something that not a lot of Christian bands do. They cover songs "normal Christian" bands wouldn't do. Isn't this What God wants? Isn't this what He needs? For people/ bands to go out of their "comfort zone"?

In case you cannot see the pic with this chapter... It is a quote from Joey that says "Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs." Can't we just live off of this quote... What if we stopped thinking about all of the "wrongs" or what we even believe is "wrong" forgive and forget and move on?

Bet you didn't know is that Scientifically light is the fastest thing ever to exist. It is about 7.5 times around the Earth in one second! That is REALLY fast!!

What about 'God's Loving Light'? Think about how fast his love would travel if it traveled this fast? How many people would be saved in a day? Week? Month? Year? Each generation? Aren't we supposed to reach out to the strugglers? Aren't we supposed to love? Then why are we hating the band? Why hate on the ones that have brought you closer to your creator? God has brought this band to you for a reason! Aren't you really hating a gift from God? Publicly for everyone to see?
