"You have to promise, promise you won't be scared." "I am not promising anything." "I am not just a dead guy wondering around the earth. I am an angel, well, I was." He sighed. "What the fuck?" This is just getting better and better, Persia thought. "Are you fucking kidding me?" She continued. "Don't speak to me like that. "His voice was stern and made Persia nervous. "I-I am sorry, but this is too much for me." She began to walk away but he grabbed her by the elbow and yanked her back. "Just listen for fuck sake" He hissed. Persia batted her hand away. Her eyes were wide with fear. "Nothing you can say is going to make this situation any better , so there is no point," she continued to walk off. "Please," He said, with a hint of desperation. He couldn't lose her. "Go on then, explain." Persia folded her arms and turned to face him. "I fucked up, I really did, I used to be an angel, but I-" His voice trailed off. "BUT WHAT?" Persia screamed. "I - I killed someone." He hung his head in shame. What? He can't be serious. He was a murderer? Before Alec has a chance to explain she was running so fast her legs ached. She sprinted down a trail leading into the woods and chucked herself behind a large tree, she watched as Alec bolted past shouting her name.
By the time she got back home she was dripping in sweat. She slammed the door of her room shut and locked the window so Alec could not get in. What the fuck was she going to do? After finding out he was dead she should have never let him into her life. Except, she loved him. She loved the way he looked at her, like she was the only girl in the world, but how could she love someone who had killed somebody? She threw back her sheets and snuggled into bed. She must have eventually fallen asleep as when her eyes flickered open the sun was creeping up and there he was. Alec. She quickly rubbed her eyes and sat up in fear. "Please, just listen to me." He crawled into bed beside her. She shivered in fear. "Listen I know your'e scared but please just hear me out. I promise I am not a bad person!" He reached a hand up to touch her face but she moved back. "So go on then, you have one minute," she said.
