Chapter 5 - Hanging Out

1 Month after the Meeting
You, Tomioka-San, Tanjiro, boar head and blonde boy were injured during a mission yesterday. You guys were injured during a fight with a demon that could split itself and get multiple bodies. The injuries you all got weren't bad, most of them were just small or long cuts or a dislocated limb.

All of you were in the same room at the butterfly estate, so there was an opportunity to get to know them better, and you took the chance.

You walked up to the blonde boy, he was lying down on his bed, he looked like he was lost in his thoughts. "Hi! What's your name?" He looked up at you and his eyes started sparkling, "A-Agatsuma Zenitsu," he stuttered, eyes still sparkling. "My names L/N Y/N, nice to meet you, Zenitsu-Kun!"

Zenitsu's face looked like he was in total bliss. "Nice to meet you too," he replied, blushing.

You flashed him a smile before walking over to the boar head, "hi! I'm L/N Y/N, what's your name?"

"Why do you wanna know?" The boy crossed his arms, "oh, I'm just trying to get to know everyone!"
He mumbled something inaudible, "sorry, would you mind repeating that?" You asked,

"...Hashibira Inosuke," he mumbled a little louder. "Well, nice to meet you, Inosuke-Kun!" He didn't reply, so you sweat dropped and walked over to Tanjiro. "Hello again, Tanjiro!" You exclaimed,
"hi L/N-San!"

"How are you?"

"Good, the wounds aren't fatal which is good," he replied, showing cuts that were kind of deep but not really on his limbs. "I have this one on my stomach! It's not that deep but still," you roll up your shirt halfway and show your bandaged wound and you roll it back down afterwards. Wait— did you just do that? Accidentally?? Oh god, you truly are a dumbass.

You become slightly flustered, bowing down, "sorry! That must've made you uncomfortable!"

"Oh no, really it's fine!" He laughed it off, and you released a sigh of relief. You then look around the room, seeing that Nezuko isn't here. "Where's Nezuko?" You ask Tanjiro, "she's in the room across the hallway, you can go talk to her if you want. She might be a little lonely." You nod your head and walk over to Tomioka-San. He's sitting on his bed, staring out of the window.

"Hello Tomioka-San!" You wait for him to reply, but he might be lost in his thoughts as well. "Toomiookaa-Saaan?~~" you said once again, snapping him out of his thoughts. He looked at you, with his usual monotone expression. "Are you feeling ok after the fight?" You ask. He nods his head in reply and there was an awkward silence after that. "...Weird question, but would you like to go see Nezuko-Chan with me?" You ask him with a caring smile, he nods his head in reply again. He stands up and you both walk out of the room.

"She should be in the room down the hall," you say while leading the way. You reach the door and knock before going in. Nezuko is sitting on the floor, staring at you and Tomioka-San. "Hi Nezuko-Chan! Tomioka-San and I were just checking up on you," you tell her, she walks towards you, eagerly taking you and Tomioka-San's hands. She gently pulls you two onto the floor where she was originally sitting and she sits down as well, you're all sitting down in a circle. "So Nezuko, are you feeling ok?" You ask her the same question you asked almost everyone else, "mhm!" She hums, muffled by the bamboo muzzle. "Good to hear!"

You pull out a bracelet you got a few weeks ago, you were supposed to give it to her when you bought it, but you didn't get the chance to. It has pink and white beads in a repeating pattern and a charm in the shape of a heart, ending the pattern. You give it to Nezuko and her eyes light up when slips it onto her wrist. She jumps up and hugs you tight, she then starts playing with your hair that is tied up in a high ponytail. Tomioka-San is still sitting there, not saying a word but just staring at Nezuko playing with your hair. "Tomioka-San, do you wanna say something to Nezuko-Chan?" You ask him.

"I-" he stutters and covers his mouth with his sleeve in embarrassment. "...I hope you're feeling ok, Nezuko." Nezuko looks at him and hums cheerfully as a reply.
*Knock knock knock*
"It's time for your medicine," a voice sounding like Aoi said, "ok! We'll come out soon," you reply.
"Nezuko-Chan, Tomioka-San and I have to go now, we'll see you next time!" You stand up and Tomioka-San follows, you both walk to the door and you turn around and wave Nezuko goodbye.

"Sorry for dragging you along, it must've been awkward for you," you quietly say shyly. "It's fine," he replys as you both walk back into the patient's room (i kinda forgot the word oops),  suddenly an ear-piercing shriek was heard, coming from Zenitsu. "Noo! I hate drinking this!! It's so bitter!!" He complained, it was annoying you, so you walk up to him and take the medicine from Aoi. "Zenitsu-Kun, it's ok, I'll help you drink it," you bring the cup closer to his mouth. "Say aaah," he does what you say and you pour the medicine into his mouth and he gulps it down. "S-So... bitter..!" Zenitsu mumbles, "just get it over with really quick and it won't be as bad as you think it is," you say with a smile. He stays quiet as you walk over to your bed and drink your medicine that's on the bedside table. 'It really is bitter...!' You lie down on your bed and pull the covers over you, you were quite tired as you woke up early this morning. You fall asleep.

Time Skip - 2 Hours
The bright sunshine goes through the window and onto your face, waking you up. You sit up from your bed, rubbing your eyes. The only other person in the room is Tanjiro, "did you sleep well?" Tanjiro asks, taking you by surprise. You hum in reply, "also, I have a question to ask," he walks over to you and sits on the edge of your bed.

"Do you like Giyuu-San?" He asks, straightforward. Your face turns as red as roses and you cover your face with your hands, "h-how do you know?" You were confused; was it that obvious? "I could smell your emotion of... love? I don't really know how to explain it," he chuckled and scratches the back of his head awkwardly. "Ah!" You jump, eyes wide and your cheeks still flushed a deep red. "Weird question but if you can smell my emotions... c-can you smell Tomioka-San's?" He looks down at the floor, thinking. "I couldn't sense anything coming from him. He's really good at hiding his feelings, or he just... doesn't like you."

He looks back at you and you're pouting, your cheeks have returned to their original color. "But that doesn't mean he doesn't like you! Don't lose hope!" He pats you on the back and gives you a beaming smile. "I have to go to training now, good luck with Giyuu-San!" He walks out of the room, leaving you with your thoughts.
