Chapter 1 - Fresh Meat

2nd Person POV

2 Years Later
You're the newest hashira, the Moon Pillar, standing outside of the demon slayer headquarters. It's kind of... intimidating, knowing that the highest ranking demon slayers are past this tall wooden door.

You take a deep breath and open the door, preparing yourself. Some of the Pillars are scattered around the place, doing their own thing and some of them are talking to eachother, having a conversation. As the door opens wider, they all suddenly look at you, taking you by surprise.

A girl with pink hair and green tips, styled in 3 plaits accidentally shouts out, "Is this the new girl Oyakata-Sama was talking about?" To a boy she was talking to, he has a white snake wrapped around his neck and bandages wrapped around his head, covering the bottom half of his face. "That was kind of loud," the boy with the snake said to her.

You were awkwardly standing there, looking around and taking in your surroundings. Until someone caught your eye. It was that boy who saved you when you were younger. What was his name again...? Something clicked in your head, Tomioka Giyuu! That's what his name was! A smile grew on your face as you skipped towards him. He was staring at the sky, with a monotone face.

You stop right next to him. "U-Uhm, h-hello!" You said to him. He looked at you with a blank expression. "...Hi," he said it so quietly, that you could barely even hear it. "Are you Tomioka Giyuu?," you asked him and he nodded. You were kind of excited, meeting the person who saved you again. But then you remember, I owe him something for saving my life! I have to repay him.

"Do you remember me? You saved my life 4 years ago from that demon who ate my family," (how can you say that so casually woah) He squinted, scanning your face and clothing. He looked at your hairpin, it was quite large, holding up your ponytail. It had 3 dangos on it, and it was the same hairpin you were wearing when Tomioka-San saved you. Then it clicked. "Ah. I remember you,"

You gave him a warm smile, "yay! I'm glad."
After you said that there was an awkward silence, both of you just staring at eachother. Luckily, Oyakata-Sama's 2 daughters step out of the estate, breaking the silence.

Both of the daughters say in unison, "The Master has arrived." Right after they say that, all the pillars scurry in front of the entrance that Oyakata-Sama's stepping out from, getting in line and bowing down as the Master of the Demon Slayers steps out. You didn't know what to do, so you just followed everyone else. The Master's 2 daughters guide him towards everyone, at the end of the wooden deck.

"Good morning everyone, and welcome to the hashira meeting." The Master announces.

"It's good to see you in good health, Master." A man with light gray hair and a large scar on his face stated.

"Thank you, Sanemi." The Master replied, "as you all may know now, we have a new hasira. Her name is Y/N and she is the Moon Pillar. Please, take care of her as she is new." Everyone looks over at you, some of them smiling at you while the others are staring at you with a blank expression. You smile back.

Time Skip

You all get up and bow down to the Master. It was the end of the meeting. You hurry over to Tomioka-San since he's the only one you kind of know, he's walking towards the exit. "Hello again!" You said with a beaming smile, "ah! I haven't properly introduced myself yet," You take out your hand for a handshake, "my name is L/N  Y/N. I'm the Moon Pillar, I hope we get along!"

He looks at your face, and then your hand. After a few seconds, he reaches out for it and hesitantly shakes it. Tomioka-San still has a blank expression as we walk out of the estate, down the path.

I look at the town we're walking towards it's only illuminated by the lights from inside the houses. "So, uhm... where're you going now?"

"Home."

"Oh."

We both went our seperate ways and I went back home as well. I sent him a message via crow and he sent a message back. That's how we communicated when we weren't near eachother. I learnt more things about him.

Time Skip - 2 days later
Suddenly when I was training, a crow came. "TOMIOKA GIYUU AND L/N Y/N GO TO THE MOUNTAIN, INSIDE THE FOREST!! THERE HAVE BEEN FELLOW DEMON SLAYERS GETTING MURDERED IN THAT AREA. POSSIBLE LOWER MOON IN THE FOREST."
You immediately started heading to the mountain, it was your first mission with another pillar, and it was with Tomioka-San. And there would be a lower moon there. I have to be careful.
