Chapter 13 - Bad Timing

(i haven't written in a while so sorry that my writing is dry-)

The black haired man watches Y/N as she walks away and out of the gates of the estate, into the darkness of the night, using her sleeve to wipe away tears that were piling up in her eyes. "Hm..."

Giyuu walks into the Butterfly Estate, hearing sobs coming from the stairs. He makes his way to the noise to see a crying Shinobu sitting on the bottom step. "...What happened?" Giyuu asks, looking down at Shinobu.

"Y-Y/N! She's such a- a bitch!" She stutters in between sobs.

"What do you mean bitch?" Giyuu's eyebrows furrow and his expression turns angry.

"Eh...?" Shinobu looks up with her bloodshot eyes.

Giyuu frowns, sighing. He turns the other way and runs out the door.

"T-Tomioka-San-!" Shinobu shouts, but he was already out of the estate.

Giyuu walks out of the estate, heading towards Y/N's. 'I have to make things clear with her..' he starts running to the estate as it enters his line of sight. He then goes inside, searching for her.

Y/N heard footsteps walking around in the hallway and instinctively, she unsheathes her sword and gets prepared to attack. 'This could be another demon,' she thought as the footsteps got closer and closer to where she was.

When the footsteps were right behind the wall, she jumped out and put her sword right at Giyuu's neck. "...Tomioka-San?" Y/N sheathes her sword, bowing afterwards. "I'm sorry... I thought you were another demon.."

Giyuu's lips curled up into a tiny smile, "I came because I wanted to clear things up about this whole.. situation." Y/N stands back up properly, a confused expression appearing on her face. "I know what happened with you and Shinobu at her estate and I'm ..sorry. I'm sorry for not noticing before, I'm sorry for believing what she said to me, I'm sorry for-"

"Don't be. I understand completely..." Y/N smiled lightly at him, "also, what did you mean 'I'm sorry for believing what-'"

"EMERGENCY SUMMON! ATTACK AT THE (Village name) VILLAGE!" A crow shouted from outside the door. "..Emergency summon..?" Y/N mumbled under her breath. Giyuu grabs her arm and runs with her towards the village. 'What's going on..?'

The village was right in front of them, Y/N's mind was going a mile a minute as they ran, filling up with questions. Giyuu runs faster as they get closer to the village, "We're almost there-"

When all of a sudden,
BOOM

Y/N yelped and pulled Giyuu back as a giant explosion erupted right in front of them, the fire lighting up the night sky. Y/N looked around and saw another entrance to the village, in which she entered with Giyuu.

She looked around, seeing the other hashira starting to enter the village.. her eyes then landed on someone. Someone that she didn't expect to see.

Muzan.

Y/N's eyes widened, her mouth agape and her heart beating fast. She tries to get closer, unsheathing her sword and trying to not touch the fire.

Himejima appears from behind Muzan, using his mace to smash his head, though it wasn't enough to kill him. All the hashira charge at him at once.

First Person POV
"Eighth form: Moon-Dragon Ringtail," I whisper to myself. Right before my attack connects to him, a smirk grows on his face.

'Eh..?' The floor disappears from under my feet, I look down and see that the scenery's changed completely, it just looks like a bunch a Japanese screen doors. I fall down a hole that was under me, 'shit shit-'

I look beside me, "Tanjiro?!" We're both falling down the hole, the floor getting closer and closer. I grab Tanjiro and inch closer to the wall, I grab onto it pulling us both up into an entrance of a hallway of some sort.

"Are you ok? Are you hurt?" I ask as I look down the hallway. He rubs his head, "yeah, I'm ok.. I think," he stands up, smiling at me.

Down the hallway, the sudden sound of footsteps are coming closer and closer, causing us to draw our swords. A large group of demons emerge from the darkness of the hall, growling and running at us at full speed.

"Eighth form: Moon-Dragon Ringtail,"

"Second form: Water Wheel,"

Our attacks reach the demons, all of them immediately getting sliced into multiple pieces upon impact. "There's obviously going to be more, just stay close and be alert," I start running to see if we can find anymore of the hashira, Tanjiro following behind me.

Third Person POV

Y/N and Tanjiro run down the seemingly endless hallways, killing demons on their way. "It feels like we've been running for hours.." Y/N mumbles to herself as she stops in front of a door. She slides the door open, stepping into the room.
'Something feels off...' A strumming sound in the distance catches Y/N's attention.

BAM

One of the walls slam into Y/N,
"L/N-SAN-!"
"TANJIRO! FIND THE OTHE-" before she could finish her sentence, she gets pushed into a completely different room. "Damn it.. I hope he's ok by himself.." Y/N then senses something near her.. 'could this be an upper moon?'

She walks to a door, the feeling getting stronger and stronger as she gets closer. She carefully slides it open, her eyes landing on a demon who's standing in the middle of the room. Y/N walks closer, pulling her sword out.

"You... what's your name?"
