Tyler's POV
"I dont want to go to school. I still want to sleep"
"I know the feeling"
I opened the door for Courtney and escorted her to their room. I got inside my car and drove all the way to school. I parked near the field and found myself on the hallways. Got some of the books I need for first class. Closed my locker and found Rachelle beside it.
"Hey babe."
She kissed me and wondered why I didn't kiss her back. I needed an excuse so I just told her about me getting shock. It did work though. On the way to first class, I met Jackson and Brandon. Apart from me wanted to punch Jackson for making out with Jewel but he didn't know anything about me liking her so I was forced not to. Besides, he's my best friend. I got into first class. English. Bored as usual. After class ended I headed towards the gym until my phone beeped. Jackson
"Can you guys please wait for Jewel at the cafeteria?"
"So you can smooch smooch?"
"Whatever man"
Whatever?! Are they a thing now?! Its not possible. It cant be. I shot some hoops until I heard Jackson's voice. I went near the bleachers to wipe my sweat and had so much eager on asking him.
"So its official?"
"What official?"
"You and Jewel? How did the smooching go?"
"Yeah its official. What a term man."
"Well, you know"
We both played one on one in basketball. I don't know why but my stomach felt pain and yes, my heart felt pain too. A pain I cant understand. My heart felt heavy but at the same time there was pain. What the hell?! I just really cant understand what's happening. I took a deep breath and headed to my next class. After hours of sitting in class doing nothing, finally it was time for lunch. I got down the cafeteria and went to the table where Jackson was sitting. There I found Brandon, Nigel, and the others. I acted natural like I wasn't hurt or something. Then after how many minutes, I found Jewel trying to find Jackson. How I wish is me who she'll find. She went to our direction and all I felt was pain. Pain because Im pretty sure Id never have a chance on her right now. I wasn't really talking that much compared to before. Listening to their conversation made me jealous. They had a nice story. If ever people would ask me how we met its me trying to make her trip. What the hell? If only I knew how she'll mean to me.
I could see that my friends kept bugging her so I started introducing them to her. After introducing, Jackson appeared with her lunch. So now she eats salad when he's around. Yeah, of course she wants to stay fit around him because of course she likes him. Now, Jackson gave us the signal that its now time to leave. Me and my friends left and headed to the field to practice.
After hours of practicing, I got into the gym's locker to change. Wore a grey v neck shirt with my black pants. Got into my car and started the engine. I started driving the wheel and headed the way home. I hated this day. Finally, after minutes of driving, Im already home. Parked my car in the drive way and grabbed my things. Got inside the house, headed up stairs and threw myself on the bed. Such an exhausting day. I just cant understand what Im going to do. I got my phone inside my pocket and was having thoughts if I should text her or not. I returned my phone back in the pocket. But then again, I wanted us to communicate. It would totally make my day. I got my phone from my pocket again and started to text her.
"Why didnt you tell me that you and my best friend are dating? <3"
After minutes of waiting, I ended up in the shower. I took a quick bathe and wore freshly new clothes. I checked my phone but still no reply. I got my ball and started throwing it again and again while lying down. Finally, after hours of waiting my phone beeped. I wish its from Jewel.
"Sorry late reply. Dance practice. By the way, can we meet somewhere?"
"Where do you want us to meet?"
"My house."
"Okay"
She wants me to meet her in her house. Yes! This is even better than just receiving a message from her. I eagerly got up and grabbed my car keys. Got down quickly and jumped inside my car. I drove all the way to her house. I was pretty sure shes not yet home. So I climbed up to their tree house and I just kept thinking about her. I grabbed my phone and texted her to tell me if shes home.
"Sure."
After hours of waiting, I didnt realize that I was asleep. When I tried to open my eyes, a blonde girl was in front of me. Yes, it was Jewel. Beautiful as ever.
"Good morning. "
She offered some cookies and an orange juice. I got up and stretched. I suddenly yawned too. I was trying to apologize about me sleeping. She said it was no big deal so she told me that it would be better if we talk inside the house since it was also about to rain.
I grabbed the railings for support and got down, went inside her house. I tried to fix my hair too. She offered me a pizza and sat on the couch. I sat on the couch too. And now that I was beside her, I asked what's the reason why we have to meet instead of us just texting.
"Well, you know that me and Jackson are already dating and I just hope you'll keep our secret"
"Yeah. Sure"
Now, my heart was crushed. Now I feel like I cant breath properly. But I just have to act like I don't really care. I gave her a sly smile and curiously asked how they met and how they got together. After her telling me the details, I finally stood up and asked where the comfort room was. She pointed and gave directions. When I finally got inside, seeing my reflection, I literally talked to myself.
"I can do this. Just act like you don't give a fuck. You can do this."
I washed my hands and got back. She was sitting down while watching tv. She got up when she saw me, grabbed my hand and forced me to eat the pizza.
"Why are you shy? Its just so not you. She raised a brow"
"Fine."
After taking a bite, something suddenly broke. We both looked at each other and stood up.
