Jewel's POV

Okay that was odd but fine a second wouldn't be a bad thing. I got the keys and opened the door.

"Dad?"

"Finally sweetie you're home"

"Why are you here?"

"I missed you"

"Do you also miss the girl you were with when you cheated on mom?"

I ran directly to my room and locked it. Got my phone and tried to contact mom. Tears were running through my face until mom finally picked up. She wanted to give my father a chance?! Wasn't that clear enough about him cheating on her?

"Listen honey, its been four years and I accepted the fact the we cant be together again. There are things in life worth forgetting. May be we wont be together again, yes, he cheated on me but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you"

"But if he loves me then he wont try to hurt me and now Im really hurt."

"Honey, you'll just understand soon but for now, give your father another chance"

"I'll try. I love you mom"

"I love you too Jewel"

Mom hung the phone and apart from me doesn't want to see his face. Im happy without him. My life was okay without him in the picture. I wiped my tears and took a deep breath and got out of the room. I could see from my room down that he was checking on my photo album. I slowly got down and waited for him to talk. Apart from me hated him but apart from me was also nervous. He went near me and hugged me real tight. I just let him and as he tried to explain everything to me, it kind of ease the pain. He left after hours and I was left alone with nothing to do. I just want to escape this problem right now until mom gets back. I want to do something fun but I don't know where and who to go with. I was so desperate that I decided to go to the carnival. Waited for a cab and after minutes of waiting I finally got into the carnival. I got inside and everything seems so magical. Shiny lights, cotton candies, popcorns, ball games and dangerous rides. While checking the rides out a huge heavy arm suddenly appeared on my shoulder.

"Are you alone?"

"Yeah. What are you doing here?"

"I lost a bet with my sister"

"You have a sister? I chuckled"

"Well, you can come with us if you're alone and if you're fine with it. Tyler smiled"

"Well, I might want to meet her as well"

Well, apart from me feels weird about being with the "real" Tyler I supposed but apart from me feels happy that Im now not alone. I followed Tyler's direction and found his sister on the bench eating a lollipop. With her blonde shiny straight hair and a pretty face I know she'll be a popular girl soon.

"Hey. I smiled"

She went near his brother and hid. Damn, do I look really ugly today or something? I tried to let her trust me and it was great that we ended up talking. Tyler on the other hand was getting us drinks. So since Courtney wanted to ride on a carousel I led her there and paid for the ride.

"So you two are close now?"

"Im friendly. I smirked"

We laughed about it and talked about how Courtney seemed so happy riding on a horse. The night seemed pretty starry. Courtney wanted to play on a mini indoor playground too. Tyler paid and we decided to walk around. He suddenly grabbed my arm and paid for the X-Tream ride which was really scary but it really looks fun. I was nervous about it that I felt butterflies in my stomach but I took a deep breath and buckled myself with the seatbelt.

After the fun ride we had, the time really passed by so fast so we directly went to Courtney. I asked her what she wanted to do next so we ended up waiting for our turn on the photo booth. Well, I didn't want to join them since it was their sister-brother bonding time but Courtney insisted since I was pretty she quoted. After minutes of waiting, it was really now our turn. Courtney was in the middle and all of us obviously smiled. Second photo was crap. Third was the wacky pose we had and fourth was when we had to carry Courtney since she wanted to look like a princess. She sure was heavy but it was really a fun photo though. She got it and laughed at our wacky faces. She complimented herself of being a princess too. Shes really a cute pretty girl. She wanted us to buy her a balloon before leaving the carnival since she was a bit sleepy.

"Thanks. I really had fun"

"No problem. I can actually bring you home you know."

"Its fine. Courtney's asleep"

"Right. So, I'll bring you home first with Courtney at back sleeping and its drizzling so?"

"Okay fine. Giving you a second chance wasn't bad after all"

"Well. He smirked"

"Okay now stop. I rolled my eyes"

He opened the door for me and for Courtney. I sat with my seatbelt and Courtney was lying down with her eyes closed. She's really pretty. He got inside and drove all the way to my house. We stopped after a couple of minutes since the car ran out of gas. He got out and as I was waiting, I checked the time which was already one in the morning?! Oh my goodness. I checked on Courtney and was glad that she was still asleep. Tyler got back and continued to drive. My eyes were on the road when Tyler asked me if he was a good guy. My eyes lit and smirked.

"Well, I guess we have to hang out more often"

"I like that. Are you free tomorrow?"

"Well, Im home alone so okay. Its boring being alone you know"

"Great. I'll pick you up tomorrow."

"What are we going to do anyways?"

"Movie? Dinner?"

"Wait, are you taking me on a date? I raised a brow"

"Can it be? He smirked"

"A friendly date. You're with Rachel remember?"

He rolled his eyes and smiled. He escorted me to the door and unexpectedly gave me a  kiss on the cheek. My eyes grew bigger and spanked him on the arm. He laughed and tried to protect himself.

"Ive got to go but Im really looking forward for tomorrow"

"Whatever. "

He smirked and got back to his car. I got inside and decided to take a bath. Feeling the cool water made me want to stay longer but I decided to take a quick bath and got out of the shower. I got down to get my photo album and went back up. Flipping through the pages of the album, I found a picture that wasn't sticked on the album. It was  me and my dad with the teddy bear he played in the carnival for me to have. It gave me a sly smile. There was a letter written at the back for me too.

Dear Jewel,

I know you've hated me ever since that situation happened. I know it isn't easy and I understand. It would take time, but I just want you to know that I'll always be here for you and I hope Sammy is still with you.
