Jewel's POV
I woke up with my head aching. I could feel the touch of the sun's rays on my legs. Hearing birds chirping, I knew it was still early. I tried to reach the phone on the table with my eyes closed since I always feel exhausted. My eyes suddenly lit up when I saw seven missed calls. I checked the time and just continued rolling in my smooth and silky bed knowing that I was late for class again. I stretched and hurriedly prepared for school then my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"I've been calling you. Where are you?"
"Asleep?"
"Okay I'll pick you up. I'll be there in ten minutes."
I hurriedly got ready for school and rushed down since Im obviously late. Jackson was standing in front of our house as I walked towards him. Where can I find someone like him in this world? I'm a pretty lucky person.
"Is there something wrong or what?"
"Nothing. I just want to make sure you're safe. He smirked"
He kissed my forehead and opened the door for me. I smiled and got in the car. My eyes were focused on the road until Jackson tried to wake me up. I didn't even realized that we were in school already and that I fell asleep.
"Five more minutes. I begged"
"Come on. You'll be late for practice."
"Five more minutes. I moaned"
"Okay then I guess I'll just carry you"
"That would be a good idea. I sleepily said"
I felt a quick rush when he actually tried to carry me. I fixed my hair and got out of the car. He brought my gym bag as we both headed to the field. I started to stretched my arms while walking. From a far, I could see Camille heading towards my direction.
I knew how this would come. Me getting scolded on why Im late for practice but worried at the same time. She's kind of like my mother here on school. She gave me a look everybody is scared of but I gave her a genuine smile that made her calm down.
"What's your excuse this time? Her brows met"
"I woke up late."
"Where's the real Jewel?!"
She looked confused and Im pretty sure its because I just told her the truth. She grabbed my arm and dragged me to the field. I was reaching for my gym bag that Jackson was holding and headed to the field with the sun right up to my face.
As I began to stretched, I could clearly see Tyler coming towards us in my peripheral view. His way trying to get a chick to bang as usual. Just when I thought that he would just try to smooth things with the girls, Tyler gave Rachel a look that made Camille took her place over. May be this was the talk they were supposed to have when Rachel called in the middle of the game we had on the cruise days ago.
"Jewel?"
"Yeah? I stuttered"
"Its your time to teach the squad now. Camille looked confused"
"Right"
I'm so glad that it is finally lunch time. I sat with Jackson, Camille, Tyler and the other as usual since it is kind of official that Jackson and I are dating. But the story of how it became us will still be the same at least for now. Just as I was about to eat my apple, I could see Jenny staring at me from the corner with her brows meeting each other. I'm pretty sure this is just because I'm dating her one and only so called love.
