Jewel's POV
"Not really though. But she got all suspicious why Tyler wont kiss her back or reply her messages"
"Oh. Thats good to hear"
"That they're falling apart?"
"That Im not the one that was on her mind"
I walked out the cafe and walked all the way to school and heard Jackson's footsteps behind me. I felt that he really caught up because he gripped by arm which made me stop
"What now?"
"Why do you always feel piss when Im around?"
"Because Im guilty about what happened to us at the party"
"Look, Im really so sorry about that. I was just really having a bad day and Im sorry I placed something on your drink that night. It will really be our secret I promise"
"Promises are meant to be broken"
"Then how about lets start fresh. Lets erase that memory of us that day"
"It doesn't really help but fine lets try"
"Thank goodness. Please don't be mad at me because you're the only person who can help me about Jenny"
That line made me laugh. Now that everything was settled, he offered me a ride to school. I wonder how he knew I was in that cafe. He opened my side of the car and I got inside and sat. Now that we were both inside the car, I began to ask him questions about his life. I know its really okay since we're friends.
"So how many girlfriends do you have?"
"So far one."
"Who's this bitch who made the wrong decision?"
"You. He laughed"
I punched him but was hurt in the end since his biceps were hard as a rock. I asked him seriously was shocked that he never did try to have a girlfriend. It was impossible since he's famous.
"Why?!"
"I dont know. I feel like girls just hit on me because Im popular"
"One is also that you're not serious when it comes to girls"
"I could actually be you know. Actually Ive been thinking about a girl lately but"
"But what?"
"I don't know. Im pretty sure she likes someone else though"
"There are a lot of fishes in the sea."
After minutes of interviewing him, we finally got to school. As a so called changed person, I ran as fast as I could to get to my next class. I was glad that I wasn't late. The class as usual was boring so I ended up doodling my name that I didn't recognize the time until the bell suddenly rang. Finally, lunch time.
I got down to the cafeteria and saw Camille waved. I headed to her direction but she didn't seem okay.
"Whats wrong?"
"Im just exhausted with school and practice."
"Cheer up. Theres a game tomorrow night so we could go shopping all day since were excused"
"Thanks Jewel"
"By the way, where's Rachelle?"
"With Tyler. So how's Jackson?"
"Hes fine. Actually we just got out a while ago when I had a one hour break"
"That good. You guys are surely gonna be the Couple of the Night"
"I still cant believe I was nominated for this"
"Wrong answer. It should be I cant believe I won"
"That's obviously Rachelle's throne"
"I hope not."
"What did she so now?"
"Well, bully everyone at school obviously."
"Some things never change"
"Right"
"Wait, how come you never told me anything about your love life?"
"That's because I dont want to have one"
"But Im sure you like someone"
"Yeah but he has a girlfriend"
"Who?"
"Im sorry but I have to go"
"Wait! Where are you goi..."
Now that Im all alone, Ive been thinking lately. Camille talks about Jackson and I. When I told her about my love life, she faked a smile. She says the guy he likes has a girlfriend, a girlfriend which could be me. Jackson on the other hand, liked someone but was pretty sure that the girl she wanted liked another guy. What if they both do like each other but they just didn't know?
