"And basically with this little tricks everything else will be quite easier" I said doing an example on the paper of what I was explaining to Kuroo from (f/sb) "Do you understand it now?" I finally asked him, looking up from the notebook filled with little notes I had taken for him, who I found staring at me with a stupid smile that made me know immediately that he probably hadn't paid attention to anything I just said.

"Sorry" he said coming back from whatever stupid trance he was on "I just got lost in your eyes" he used one of his typical pick up lines, making me sigh.

I let out an exasperated sigh that could even come across as a cry for help.

"Will you please focus" I asked him feeling like if he was a younger student and not actually oder than me.

"Sorry sorry" he chuckled a little "Can you repeat again how do I do this?"

"Really, Kuroo? 30 minutes for nothing?" I pinched the bridge of my nose as I exhaled with my eyes closed.

"You know, maybe if you called me Kuroo-san I'd feel motivated to show you how a responsible and hard-working older student is"

I sighed once more closing my eyes.

"I'm actually the one teaching you, if something you should be the one calling me (L/n)-san, or (L/n)-sensei, not me" I said trying to make him focus once and for all. But instead all he did was open his eyes and smile more as if the most amazing idea had popped in his mind which only made me wonder how else would he waste both of our times now.

"(L/n)-sensei" he said with a small dust of rosiness on his cheeks. But then his eyes opened more and he put his hands on both of his cheeks "(L/n)-chan!" he said as if that was the most adorable thing.

At the sound of that I literally let my head fall over the table, hitting my forehead with it while whining. Winning a giggle from him.

"Kuroo, please" I pleaded one last time "Please listen to me because I'm only going to explain it once more. ONLY ONCE" I said with the most serious face I could.

He changed his expression to a determined and serious one as well, but his sudden change only made me feel as if he was still joking and faking it. He nodded to what I said, but a short smirk appeared on his face that he failed to repress.

However, I decided to carry on with the explanation and went all over again. Taking quick glances to him from time to time in order to check if he was or not paying attention to me. And although from time to time he, once more unsuccessfully repressed his grins and also took glances at me, he seemed to at least pay more attention than before. And at least he had stopped messing up with me with his flirtatious jokes.

Once I was done he started doing the exercises and I could finally focus on my own homework.

Kuroo's POV:

"Do you think life has a purpose?" my voice broke the silence as I stared at her.

"Yeah, finishing homework" she answered shortly without stopping from writing on her notebook.

"But I'm serious. Don't you sometimes think about what happened if we died tomorrow? All we would have done is study and study, or work for the future. But then, there wouldn't be a future, and all of our lives would have gone to waste" I said, not being able to focus on the exercises.

"And what are you going to do? Drop school?" she asked, still focusing on my work.

"I couldn't even if I wanted" I answered, going silent for a moment "I mean, even though I'm aware of what I said, I still cannot think about my future... which in a way it makes our thoughts be the ones that cut our freedom" I added, while she sighed "But really, do we have freedom, or is it just an illusion?"
