Trying to get myself together after this morning was kind of hard. Just hearing my dads voice always stops me in my tracks, but this time it wasn't just some news feed of him getting arrested. He was taking directly to me. The girls know how badly I want to be with my family so they understand why it effects me so much. But others don't see why I want to be around my father. It's not like I judge Kit for having a pyromaniac for a father or for Charley's dad looking like a Danny DeVito stand in. I don't let it bother me too much, but when I was younger it use to make my blood boil when his name came out of any ones mouth.
We walked into the dinning hall at 7:12. The line had gotten long because we took so long to get here. At least we missed out on the good ol'morning pep talk. I hop in line and the girls follow.
Breakfast Menu: Fruit Cup: Ham: Eggs: Mash w/ Biscuits
Appetizing (eye roll). "If they want us to eat right, how about feed us something other than left over Easter dinner and mush." I always end up with the fruit.
We always sit at the table by the doors so that we can leave early to go hangout in the bathroom before class starts. But today the snow fake was in my seat, and today is not a good day to piss me off. Nora fucking Frise. Of all people why does she want to start with me. Well actually exactly why, shes jealous.
Growing up here, I realized very quickly that I had a reputation just for who my parents were. Did I enjoy the respect? Yes. I also learned that people leave you alone when they are intimidated, and intimidation is what I do best. It probably helps that I'm an eighteen year old with a carved smile but I also know how to hold my own. Nothing in this world can scare me more that that masked shadow, which includes a white haired freak.
"Nora get out of my se..."
"Morning Puddin!"
...did you just cut me off..."Don't call me that vanilla ice. Get out of my seat."
"What this one? No I think I like it here, the draft from the hallway feels n-ice." She chuckles at her own joke like it was worth being said.
"If you could leave the bad puns at the freezer, that would be great, thanks."
"What am I not funny enough for you? Well jokes on you, I happen to make everyone I interact with bust a gut. hmph!"
...I seriously doubt that..."Maybe it's just pity because they don't want to shatter that fragile heart of ice you've got." I could tell she was getting frustrated. "Norberry, I hate to cut this short and it was snow nice to see you but I'd like to eat in peace."
"Haha" And I thought her real laugh seemed fake. "Speaking of cutting things short, we had quite a short radio section this morning now didn't we." She's giving me that smile like shes won. Stupid bitch.
"Speaking of cutting things, I would watch your mouth or I might just come and cut all of your hair off this time." She just looked at me. She looked like she might cry, I almost feel bad, but If I stared to I know I'd be seriously lying to myself.
"Well... Your just... Oh whatever!" She stormed off down the hall leaving a trail of frost behind her. How does she expect to control her powers when she can't control her emotions. Amateur.
I finally sit down to eat. The rest of the girls had already sat down because my seat was the only one that was taken. I stab a strawberry with my fork and start to bring it towards my mouth when...
