Chapter 3:

Don’t ask me why I had been seating on foot ball’s bleachers for almost an hour, impatiently waiting for the monster aka Darren to appear. Oh come on, Kaylee, you just came here because of the deal, remember? If I won’t come, pretty sure that creature would do anything bad or even worse than I could ever imagine. Darren is a MONSTER. He can curse someone’s life anytime he wants. That’s why I’m here. Before I forget, I couldn’t still get over what happened yesterday at the Starbucks. Of course, who would even forget about that? He fvcking kissed my forehead and found out my weakness. I don’t want to look like a loser right now. I’m not actually afraid of getting kissed. It just, you know. That freaking Espanto is my biggest enemy and yeah, I hate the fact that he stole a kiss from me. I know it’s not really a big deal getting kissed on forehead but damn, that was Darren! The guy that I’ve been hated for like a decade. Who would even feel so happy getting kissed by someone you loathe so much?! Certainly, nobody would!

Sigh.

I glanced at my watch for the hundredth time, checking for the time. Wow, I wasted the 30 minutes of my time just waiting for that jerk. For sure, he was just playing around with me again. I should have not believed him. I stood up from my seat as I packed up my things and decided to go home when somebody covered my eyes from behind out of the blue.

Holy Moly, don’t tell me, this dude is going to kidnap me or rape m--… What?! Oh my gosh.

“Glad to see you again, Munchkin.” A familiar voice gasped from the back.

DAMN DARREN!

I suddenly flinched back which made me step on his foot in accident. I swear, I didn’t do it on purpose. That was actually an accident or maybe an advance karma. Angels from above probably know that he would do an evil plan on me again like he usually does.

“Are you an idiot?!” He screeched out in pain as he removed his hands from my eyes,

I could see through his eyes that he’s deeply hurt. Nice one, Kaylee.

“You should be asking that to yourself, not to me.” I scornfully said, giving him a sarcastic smirk.

He gave me a crooked grin as he put his hands on his pockets.

“How long you were waiting for me?” He asked, changing the topic.

I didn’t respond a single word and spun around then simply lead my way down the bleachers. I have to go away right now or else Darren would do something weird to me again. I could feel his existence following me at the back.

“You came all the way here just to see me right?” He said casually and grabbed my hand.

He added. “I just wanted to invite you in my sister’s birthday.”

I turned around, “Why would I go there? For sure, mom won’t let me attend your sissy’s birthday since she hates your mother.”

He took a very deep breath as his eyes were fixed on me for a moment. I felt so curious because Darren never invited me in parties like his sister’s birthday, my point is, why would he even invite me? He hates me, right? For sure, he just wanted to make fun of me in the party. Okay, monster. I get your point but duh, don’t expect me to come to your sister’s party. I won’t make fool of myself again. Seeing Darren’s presence every day is probably a short horror for me. It seemed like there’s no chance that he will change. Once a monster, forever an evil.
