Chapter Ten

Later, the you and Jotaro found out that Polnareff had been attacked by an enemy stand. So while you and Jotaro were messing around in the bathroom, Polnareff was fighting for his life.

You felt really bad, but it couldn't be helped.

You, Kakyoin, and Jotaro ended up spending a good majority of the rest of the day by the pool.

"I'm bored." You grumbled.

"Find something to do." Jotaro said. He was laying on his back, with his arms crossed behind his head and his hat resting on his face.

"Hm..." You thought for a moment. "Wanna go get ice cream?"

Jotaro sighed. "Alright."

"Noriaki you wanna come?" You asked the teen next to you.

No response.

"I think he's asleep. Let's just leave him."

The two of you started off toward the nearby market.

"Hey wait up!" A voice called from behind you, and you noticed Kakyoin running up.

"Oh hey! We're going to get ice cream." You greeted your friend.

"Sounds fun, it's okay that I tag along?"

"Of course!"

Kakyoin was completely off the shits to be honest. His laugh is incredibly strange, he is a completely crazy strategic genius when it came to battle, and he set off on a 50 day excursion to Egypt with some complete strangers at the slightest notion of friendship.

You would be proud to consider him your best friend.

You loved Kakyoin, not in the same way you loved Jotaro, but like a brother. Kakyoin was like the sibling you always wanted, and you couldn't wait to see what sort of shenanigans the two of you could get into when you returned.

"Ooh look! Coconut milk!" You pointed to a stall off to the side. "Jotaro! I'm gonna go get some coconut milk!"

"Is it any good?"

"Dunno, I've never had it before. That's why I want to try it!"

"Yare yare." He smiled softly as he pulled his hat down.

You asked the vendor for three drinks and paid for them, handing one to Jotaro and the other to Kakyoin.

The three of you kept walking while sipping the drink.

Jotaro handed his to you.

"Don't like it?"

"Not my thing." He said simply.

"Yeah me neither. I like coconut but the milk is kinda weird." You shrugged. "Kakyoin? You want ours?"

No response.

"Kakyoin?" You looked behind you. Kakyoin was looking at some bugs on a tree. "Oh cool!"

You ran over to see them. They were large, and very colorful. Pretty cool.

"Jotaro come see!!" You turned but found he was already behind you.

"They're cool." He said bluntly before turning and walking the way you came.
