Chapter Seventeen

The next morning, you woke and found that Jotaro was gone. The shower had been used, so you assumed he had left earlier. You rolled on your side and stared at the ceiling, enjoying the silence of the room.

You closed your eyes, hoping to drift off to sleep again, until there came some annoying knocking on the door.

"Yeah yeah..." You mumbled as you pulled the door open.

It was Kakyoin.

"Oh. Hey. Is something up?" You opened the door wider for him to come in.

He blushed slightly, and averted his gaze. "Do you wanna put some pants on before I come in?"

You slept with no pants on. So there you stood in your daisy-covered panties.

"Huh? Oh, yeah I will. I mean it's not that big of a deal I mean it's not like either of us are butt-ass naked you know?"

"Yeah but Jotaro..." He trailed off while entering the room and sitting on a chair in the corner of the room.

"What do you mean?" You asked while tugging your pants on.

"...I'm not supposed to tell you."

"Well now I have to know. Tell me!!"

"Nooooo he would get mad."

"He can't get mad if he doesn't find out."

"But what if he does?"

You sighed. "I guess I'll just have to ask him myself."

"Nonono! Then he'll know I mentioned it to you!!"

"Then just tell me!"

Kakyoin sighed in defeat. "Fine, but please don't tell him or anyone else."

"Do I look like the kind of person who would do that to you?"

"...No."

"See? I'm a certified reliable guy. Now tell me!!"

"Alright, alright. You remember the day we met?"

"Yeah, when Jotaro pulled the flesh bud out of your head?"

"That's the day. Then we started talking and Jotaro asked if I needed clothes, and I said yeah?"

"I guess? You have a really good memory because I already forgot exactly what happened."

"Well, he took me to his room and told me he liked you. Or, more so that he wasn't sure, but he asked if I would stay away from you until he could figure it out for himself. I interrupted him there and told him that even though you're a very attractive young lady, I don't think I could ever see you in a romantic way. He told me that he trusted me, and went on his way. So basically, I'm just trying to avoid these odd encounters that could give someone the wrong idea. I don't want to hurt Jotaro's trust in me like that."

"Aww, Kakyoin!! You're such a good friend."

"Honestly, can you just ask him out already? He's been bugging me this whole trip asking me if I think you actually like him or if you're just trying to be nice."

"I... Never knew that. Well don't worry. Once this trip ends if we're both still interested we agreed to kinda become a thing." You laughed.

"Really? Did he ask or did you?"

"He did. Do you really think I have the balls for that?"

"I didn't think he had the balls for it!!"

The two of you shared a good laugh, and headed to get breakfast.

"Alright gang," Joseph started. "We have a car waiting for us outside. We ready to go?"
