"Well, where do we go from here?" Polnareff asked morning over breakfast.
"I was thinking we could take a car." Mr. Joestar suggested. "It's the only form of transportation I can think of that we haven't been attacked in yet."
"Where are we gonna get a car?" Jotaro asked.
"Jotaro?? You can speak English??" Joseph was surprised.
Jotaro shrugged. "(Y/N) taught me."
"Ahhhh!!! My grandson!!" Joseph gushed and wrapped his arms around Jotaro. "Now we can finally have a conversation together!! I'm so happy!!"
"Yare yare... Get off, old man." Jotaro struggled out of his grip and pulled his hat down over his face.
"Real question though.." You interrupted. "Where are we going to get a car?"
"Don't worry!" Joseph waved a hand. "I got it handled!"
You looked at Jotaro. Jotaro shrugged, "As long as it's not my problem." He mumbled in Japanese.
You snickered, and Joseph made an annoyed look; he wanted to be in on the joke.
Once the meal was finished, you stood and stretched. "Well that was great."
"Our car is outside." Mr. Joestar announced nonchalantly.
"Wait what? How?"
"Don't worry about it." Joseph shrugged.
"What? Kakyoin, this is bizarre right??"
"(Y/N), when shit like this happens I just think, 'the gods of our universe forgot.' Now say it with me,"
"The gods of our universe forgot?" You both said in unison. It was strange but you were too tired to argue, let alone think too much about it.
A large brown SUV sat outside the hotel.
"Shotgun!!" Polnareff shouted and jumped into the passenger's seat.
"What's shotgun?" Kakyoin asked. "I thought it was a weapon."
"Oh! It is but back in America, the first person to call out 'shotgun' gets to sit in the passenger's seat. You guys don't have shotgun?" You cocked your head to the side.
"Nope." Jotaro sighed.
"Huh. Culture shock."
The SUV had three rows of seats, two in the front, three in the middle, and three in the back.
Kakyoin wanted to lay down across the seats in the middle, so he could sleep. You and Jotaro took the back seats.
Sighing, you leaned forward. "How long is this drive supposed to be, Polnareff?"
Polnareff, who was holding the map, groaned. "Like, 14 hours."
"14 hours????" You shrieked.
"Yare yare... I'm going to sleep then." Jotaro slouched into the seat and pulled his hat down over his face.
You pulled out your trusty walkman and stuck your mix into the player. Cranking up the music, you put the earbuds in and laid on Jotaro's shoulder.
Hours passed...
You were awoken when your head hit the seat in front of you due to the car stopping abruptly.
"Whuh..." You rubbed your head where you hit it.
Jotaro was holding to the seat in front of him for dear life with one hand, his other clung to your hip as if it would stop you from flying through the windshield if the car stopped like that again.
