I was thrown into a cramped cage beside an older scarred dog who snarled at me receiving an aggressive cage shake from the olive-skinned man that reeked of tobacco, "Y/N save that anger for tonight's show," the dog quivered and the burly man left.

I frowned laying down on the uncomfortable bars, "You're a show dog," I bow my head, "Where are we?", he barks a laugh, "Under the ring, I heard the old man's selling tonight you must be one the dogs," my head pressed against the crate roof, "I miss Vicky, she must so heartbroken," the canine beams his sharp teeth "You'll get used to being in fights, but you are small," the older dog eyes me, "Fights, what do you mean fights?".

He chuckles, "Don't worry kid It's not all bad if you're the winner," I pout resting my head on the wall closest to him, "What happened to your owner?", he furrows his brow, "Owner, I'm not a pet," I gulped knowing I said something wrong "Do dogs die from fighting?", he sighs, "Relax kiddo, I'll help you," I raise a brow, "What do you mean by helping me?".
